I went to high school with your daddy, and you're right. He was a wonderful daddy, who loved you and his whole family with all his heart. Everyone who knew your daddy even a little bit knows that he loved you all more than anything in the whole world, and that you made him so happy. He would want you to be as happy as you made him. He would want you to know even when you're sad that you will know the joy and happiness of loving somebody just as much as he loved you. I've thought about your daddy many times, and when I think of him from now on, I will also think about you. His love will always be with you.
I always come to this site and randomly read these tributes to the heroes of 9/11. I just wanted to express my sympathies to you and to thank you for your sacrifices that you have made. I hope you're able to find some peace in all of this, and please know that Americans all over this country stand with you. If I could ease your pain for a day, I would gladly give up anything I had. God bless you and your family.
I haven't been here in a long time, but I think of you and Stephen frequently. It surely is no easier these days than in 2001, but I hope you're doing okay. Your eternal love for your husband should be a beacon for all to be better people, to love large, to celebrate each other, and to never forget. I'm praying for and thinking of your family today. God bless!
After the initial shock and terror I experienced learning of the events on 9-11, I began to grieve for the people and the families of those trapped inside the WTC towers. Then I learned that while people were jumping out of the towers and some running away to safety, NYC fire + police departments were running toward the disaster and up the stairs of the towers to save people.
Ruben Correra was a firefighter whose station was right around the corner from where I lived. I can't imagine the pain his family felt, when I, as a stranger, felt so much grief over the desperate situation all the "civilians" and emergency personnel were thrust into. Is the death of a loved one ever actually worth the sacrifice? Mr. Correra and his colleagues' courage held our city together and strengthened and restored our faith in humanity.
Shortly after the event, I went out and bought two bags of groceries for the fire station, only to find that they weren't needed. Too many other New Yorkers had the same idea. Flowers were piled high in front of the station. We were overflowing with love and gratitude. We couldn't do enough. And down at Ground Zero, they had to turn volunteers away. I will never forget the love, community, and sacrifice shown on that day and the days after 9-11.
To the family of Mr. Correra: I am so sorry for your loss.

This web site is affiliated with 24K Gold Music Shows - an oldies music showband performing in Central Florida. The members of the showband feel strongly that there were many heroes manifested during the onslaught of terror associated with 9-11, and present this site as a memorial to those whose lives were lost, and the loved ones they left behind.
24K Gold Music Shows perform primarily 50-60s Oldies, Elvis songs, DooWop, and older country music, as well as patriotic songs. All of the musicians, singers, dancers, and staff of the 24K Gold Music Shows extend their deepest sympathies to every one who lost loved ones on that terrible day.
24K Gold Music Shows performs an original 9-11 tribute song called "America Cried". In the live shows, they honor with the song not only the heroes of 9-11 but also those who are still alive: the police personnel, firefighters, emergency personnel, soldiers, and others who have served our country and kept us all safe.
Listen also to this beautiful, touching song "Love Can Build a Bridge" by 24K Gold Music Shows. Even though strictly speaking it's not a 9-11 memorial song, I still feel it is a very fitting song for the occasion!
