In memory of
Sgt. Tamara Thurman

Wish you were here. I know this sounds crazy, but I miss all the times we didn't have together. I wish we would have had more time to bond and spend together. I will love you always and can't wait to bond with you in heaven. Love ya, big sis!

In memory of
Robert Hayes

I worked with Bob at Netstal. He was truly a wonderful person. I still think back at some of the great times I had working with him.

God bless him and his family.

In memory of
Amy N. Jarret

I graduated with Mark and Matt, and their father was my attorney at one point. Unfortunately, I never knew Amy. Everyone in this country, if not the world, had a connection to someone that day, and the Jarret Family is mine. I think of you all every September 11th and will do my best to be at the class reunion to celebrate her life. Please know that you are all in our thoughts, especially at this time of year.

In memory of
Joseph John Pycior

I flew with Joe in VP-8 and interacted with him a lot on the aircraft. I am an Electronics Tech and had to repair the equipment before and during flights. I remember Joe as one of those rare operators who took the time to learn about their equipment and could effectively troubleshoot it before I was called in to help. My memories of him are of a moral, hardworking, and devoted team player. He should have been a Chief Petty Officer and teaching the young sailors how to be more like him. I think of him from time to time and wonder why it is that people like Joe are taken from us when we need more like him around, rather than less. There are many submarine skippers from Joe's time as an ASW operator that may not know his name, but they sure got to see his work! Good job, Joe. We will see you later.

In memory of
Joseph Lostrangio

When it is September I feel down and sad because you died. I can still remember the good times that we had together. I will be wearing one of you work shirts.

Your daughter,

In memory of
Victor Wald

Every year around 9/11 I write here because the story of Victor and Harry touches me. Not a day goes by that I don't think about them. You guys are heroes in my book. God bless you all.

In memory of
Michael Hardy Edwards

Mike,

I just found this site and wanted to write you a quick note. It's wild to fathom that there is now a small reunion of W and M Gents up there in heaven with you ... Lud, Davis, Tuttle, Duffy....

You all are missed, and certainly NEVER forgotten.

I wrote a letter and made a small donation way back when to the charity in your name. Your wife's mother tracked me down about a year later, as I had mentioned we will be brothers up in heaven.... She asked what I had meant. I stammered through a few words and simply said that we were great friends from freshman year. I felt that it was trivial to tell her that you talked about how cool it would be to have you, me, and J. Grant as Pi Lams, but I went Lambo. For some strange reason that has always stuck with me ... I'm not sure why.... Anyway, my prayers are with your family ... and if you can swing it ... save me a seat up in heaven.... I'm trying to walk the straight and narrow down here on this big blue marble.... I'm doing okay in that regard, so expect me up there in a few decades.

God bless you, Mike.

Bobby

In memory of
Sebastian Gorki

Dear Sebastian,

The very last moments of your brief life will never be known to us—the horror, the fear, the hopelessness, and the despair that you had to endure. My heart aches thinking about you and all the people who died with you, who didn't even get a chance to take leave from their dear ones.

In memory of
Sarah Prothero Redheffer

Dear Sarah,

The sun shone through your hair as we waved you off to the airport. That beautiful image is burnt forever in my memory, but it was not supposed to be the last time that I saw you. Two weeks before you left this world we were making plans for our business meeting in Thailand, you taking Holly for her last year of school—she is growing so fast. William, who has never met you, was named after you. He knows you well, as you live forever in our hearts and watch over Holly as she sleeps. I miss you, darling. You taught me what a good friend is, and all my friends feel like they know you, too.... So this year we raise our glasses to you again, those cocktails we used to share after work in Chicago, and every year more people share them with me. September 11 is now our Family Day. We remember the good times we share with you and work on making new ones with each other.... Love you always. xxx

This web site is affiliated with 24K Gold Music Shows - an oldies music showband performing in Central Florida. The members of the showband feel strongly that there were many heroes manifested during the onslaught of terror associated with 9-11, and present this site as a memorial to those whose lives were lost, and the loved ones they left behind.

24K Gold Music Shows perform primarily 50-60s Oldies, Elvis songs, DooWop, and older country music, as well as patriotic songs. All of the musicians, singers, dancers, and staff of the 24K Gold Music Shows extend their deepest sympathies to every one who lost loved ones on that terrible day.

24K Gold Music Shows performs an original song called "The Day America Cried", which is a 9-11 tribute song. In the live shows, they honor with the song not only the heroes of 9-11 but also those who are still alive: the police personnel, firefighters, emergency personnel, soldiers, and others who have served our country and kept us all safe.

Listen also to this beautiful, touching song "Love Can Build a Bridge" by 24K Gold Music Shows. Even though strictly speaking it's not a 9-11 memorial song, I still feel it is a very fitting song for the occasion!
