Today, Uncle Sal, we finally laid you to rest. We all gathered around your new headstone, cried, prayed, and remembered. My heart is heavy, but we all leave our bodies eventually. I will see you and everyone else someday up in the beautiful skies.
I am Brian's father and a retired FDNY fighter of 32 yrs. Brian was the light of our lives, along with his two brothers, one younger, one older. Brian's younger brother Craig was also a FDNY firefighter who was injured and is now retired. Brian was a big strong guy, who always went the limit and held nothing back. He was respected and loved by his peers, a firefighter's firefighter. The pain never goes away. He will be missed forever. He is in my thoughts every night and every waking day. We will be together again.

I think of her often. Having read about her once, I remembered her story. She has become a kind of talisman for me, a reminder of how lucky we are — how important it is to keep things in perspective.
I can't believe it's been almost 9 years.... I miss you so much.... You know, every time the phone rings, part of me hopes it's you on the other end. I love you so much.... Your sons are always with me.... Oh, Bill, how I wish you were here physically with us! What I would give to hold you again.... I love you, sweetie.... I'll be with you when my journey here on earth ends.... Be patient....
I have only become aware of your courage and bravery in the last 24 hours. I went to sleep last nite after hearing your voice and had a beautiful dream. All of the 9/11 people were there, and they were just so warm toward each other and to me. I know, dearest Betty, that you live on in the afterlife. Thank you for your brave example you set here on earth. I hope to meet you one day in heaven. You are my hero. God bless you.
The last I heard about Doug was that he was going off to Haverford. I taught tennis in Seaview, Fire Island, from '76-'79, so I saw a lot of Doug in his teen years. His heart even then was huge, and his laugh infectious. He was a great kid to have around the courts. When I heard not long ago from my brother that my niece indeed did love Haverford ... and yes, it was a wonderful college, but the most amazing thing about it is the "Doogie" (sp?), named after some guy named Gardner, who died in 9-11, my heart skipped a beat, and I shed more than a few tears, not for Doug, who I'm sure lived as fully as he did the four summers that I saw him daily, but for his family and friends. My heart goes out to you all, even after all these years.
To my loving sister who was so beautiful, energetic, and smart and who loved her family, especially her loving children Soniya and Sanjay. We all miss you. We love you.
I just listened to Kevin's phone call. No words can describe what I felt for a person I have never met. My thoughts are with his wife and children. R.I.P.

This web site is affiliated with 24K Gold Music Shows - an oldies music showband performing in Central Florida. The members of the showband feel strongly that there were many heroes manifested during the onslaught of terror associated with 9-11, and present this site as a memorial to those whose lives were lost, and the loved ones they left behind.
24K Gold Music Shows perform primarily 50-60s Oldies, Elvis songs, DooWop, and older country music, as well as patriotic songs. All of the musicians, singers, dancers, and staff of the 24K Gold Music Shows extend their deepest sympathies to every one who lost loved ones on that terrible day.
24K Gold Music Shows performs an original song called "The Day America Cried", which is a 9-11 tribute song. In the live shows, they honor with the song not only the heroes of 9-11 but also those who are still alive: the police personnel, firefighters, emergency personnel, soldiers, and others who have served our country and kept us all safe.
Listen also to this beautiful, touching song "Love Can Build a Bridge" by 24K Gold Music Shows. Even though strictly speaking it's not a 9-11 memorial song, I still feel it is a very fitting song for the occasion!
