Today, while walking my dog in the park near my house in Nutley, NJ, I came upon a tree planted in memory of Bryan Craig Bennett. I am 25 years old now, the age Bryan was in 2001, and cannot imagine the tragic loss suffered by those who loved him. I also just noticed from a post dated 7/29/09 that today is Bryan's birthday. Happy Birthday, Bryan. May you rest in peace. And may your friends and family find some peace in knowing that his memory continues to touch lives.
Dear Kev, I was invited to the US to meet and speak with the Queen of England this year who was there to open the
British Memorial. You are in my mind regularly but especially on these occasions. I hope your boys visit the
Memorial as well as the Museum where I have recorded memories of you with your photo.
I love you Kev and miss you so much. Lots of Love Mum
To those left to cherish the memories of Kevin. Dittle and I met at a small school in Middletown, New York, in 1969. We grew up worlds apart but found so much common ground and became friends. His time there was brief but we were reunited in the Police Academy in 1980. Again, his time there was brief and he moved on to the Fire Department. We again had a chance meeting at the St Patrick's Day Parade I was working the detail and he was walking with his lovely family to the marshalling area. Dittle was lost shortly thereafter. During our last encounter I seen the pride he held for his family and his job for we met in our formative years and then both stood as Lieutenants for different departments. He was a good man, a good dad and I know he would be proud of the lives his sons are now living. He will always remain a cherished classmate from two different eras. For those who knew him I gave you nothing new, for those who did not cherish the relationships you make during your journey called life.
We did not keep in touch after high school, but I remember you when I think of Irvington, of being 13 or 14 and hanging out with you and Doug, Michelle, Craig, Walter, and all the other kids, walking to Lyndhurst on the aqueduct and working the gardens, walking to and from school, running track together, or exploring Nevis and the old Ardsley Station.
We cried for you and your family on 9/11. Now, instead, I think of those innocent times with a smile.
Troy

This web site is affiliated with 24K Gold Music Shows - an oldies music showband performing in Central Florida. The members of the showband feel strongly that there were many heroes manifested during the onslaught of terror associated with 9-11, and present this site as a memorial to those whose lives were lost, and the loved ones they left behind.
24K Gold Music Shows perform primarily 50-60s Oldies, Elvis songs, DooWop, and older country music, as well as patriotic songs. All of the musicians, singers, dancers, and staff of the 24K Gold Music Shows extend their deepest sympathies to every one who lost loved ones on that terrible day.
24K Gold Music Shows performs an original song called "The Day America Cried", which is a 9-11 tribute song. In the live shows, they honor with the song not only the heroes of 9-11 but also those who are still alive: the police personnel, firefighters, emergency personnel, soldiers, and others who have served our country and kept us all safe.
Listen also to this beautiful, touching song "Love Can Build a Bridge" by 24K Gold Music Shows. Even though strictly speaking it's not a 9-11 memorial song, I still feel it is a very fitting song for the occasion!
