I just was thinking of you and your family. Actually, there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about you and the rest of the brothers from the FDNY/NYPD.
I never knew Capt Burke. I graduated Plainview OB high school in 1974, so I must have seen him in the halls. When I found out recently that a fellow high school alumnus was one of the true American heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice on 9/11, I felt that I needed to honor his memory.

When I think of 9/11, I always remember this little boy's picture and how he stole my heart. Nine years later ... I pray for his family. I never knew you, but I'll never forget you, either.
I was recently in NY and went to see the WTC Memorial Site. While inside, I wrote a note expressing my condolences to you and your family. I cannot even begin to imagine what you felt on 9/11/01 and continue to feel today. In honor of your daughter, my husband and I decided to name our first-born daughter after your little Juliana. Our daughter Julianna was born on 9/27/01, shortly after 9/11. Your daughter lives on in all of those who knew her and knew of her. Her story will be told for years to come through just my daughter alone as she shares the story of how she came to be named Julianna. I am not sure why it has taken me almost 9 years to reach out to you ... hopefully you will find comfort in knowing that your daughter and your wife will never be forgotten. God bless.

This web site is affiliated with 24K Gold Music Shows - an oldies music showband performing in Central Florida. The members of the showband feel strongly that there were many heroes manifested during the onslaught of terror associated with 9-11, and present this site as a memorial to those whose lives were lost, and the loved ones they left behind.
24K Gold Music Shows perform primarily 50-60s Oldies, Elvis songs, DooWop, and older country music, as well as patriotic songs. All of the musicians, singers, dancers, and staff of the 24K Gold Music Shows extend their deepest sympathies to every one who lost loved ones on that terrible day.
24K Gold Music Shows performs an original song called "The Day America Cried", which is a 9-11 tribute song. In the live shows, they honor with the song not only the heroes of 9-11 but also those who are still alive: the police personnel, firefighters, emergency personnel, soldiers, and others who have served our country and kept us all safe.
Listen also to this beautiful, touching song "Love Can Build a Bridge" by 24K Gold Music Shows. Even though strictly speaking it's not a 9-11 memorial song, I still feel it is a very fitting song for the occasion!
