R.I.P., Melissa. You seemed like a really nice person, and when I heard your call and saw your picture, you seem so familiar to me, like we met once before. But I was so young when this happened, so I don't think we met or that I've seen you anywhere. It's like I knew who you were now that you inspire many, including me. You're in the hands of God, along with many others now.
When I first heard the phone call from Kevin on 9/11, I felt like something inside just broke into pieces right when the tower collapsed on his last seconds of having hope. :( I cried and had a fear inside, or at least something that gives a feeling that chills and lasts for a while, just thinking about it. He's a person who ever wanted to have the last thing to happen was seeing his wife, kids, and close ones that loved him as well as he does with them. He wanted his reason to not die because of them. I can imagine how it was like trapped in a burning building that soon would collapse on you and your human body you'll no longer walk on the face of the Earth with. I'm sure his spirit lives on with loved ones and those who he and his bravery inspired of wanting himself to stay showing there's still hope and true fathers out there. Not many have both. He's in heaven where he and his family will eventually call home together.
RIP to all 9/11 victims. My heart goes out to you with every story you have that will always be remembered.
Honor Elizabeth Wainio, may God bless you. Even though I did not know you personally, I will never forget you, nor the other heroes of 9/11. I believe that your mom lives in Port St Lucie, FL, my hometown, and I hope very much to meet her someday and learn more about you.
While visiting NY for the first time this week, my wife and two teenage daughters met Christopher's parents, Al and Maureen, during a ground-zero tour. It was an overwhelming experience hearing them both describing the horror of that day. I can ONLY imagine what they both had to go through and are still coping with today as a result of that day. Our family's thoughts and prayers will always be with Al and Maureen and their son Christopher. God bless you all.
My husband and I are from the Midwest. We met Michael only through a photo and the generosity of his Aunt and Uncle, Pat and Agnes, as they shared their love, their grief, and the story of the heroic death of their nephew, Michael.
Our message here is an incredible feeling of thankfulness, as we load our van and send our son, Paul, off to study and train be a full-time firefighter. Paul was only 10 years old when 9-11 struck, but he said himself that it was that horrific September event, and Michael's story, that fueled "the fire" of his passion to help others as a firefighter.
I know that with every firefighter lost that day, there was a patron saint canonized in heaven to guide and protect all the future firefighters, like my son, who will take their place, in gear, ready to protect the health and sanctity of human life.
On our 30th reunion, we proudly remember our classmate Jayesh Shah. We are saddened by your tragic passing, but we are deeply honored to have our own American hero.

Chuck was a good man. He was a devoted husband to my sister and a loving father to my niece. I will never forget his warmth, his contagious sense of humor, his Christian acts of kindness, and his heartfelt interest in all of the activities of his nieces and nephews. He listened when people spoke and was never judgmental. Chuck was also highly intelligent ... but he never flaunted it. He had the ability to make anyone in his presence feel comfortable. I miss him. He was more than my brother-in-law ... he was my friend.
I, too, googled my name and was touched by what I found. God bless you, my namesake. I was working in the American Express Tower, and I just happened to be off that day (9-11-01) to attend a funeral mass deep out in Queens, if not the beginning of Long Island. Again, god bless you and your family, as well as "God bless America."
I just watched the movie. Just like all the others who have posted comments on here, I wanted to know if there was a real Tyler Hawkins who died. Even if there is not, my heart goes out to all the families who lost loved ones on 9-11-01.
I had met his brother, sister-in-law, and two nieces who lived behind my house in Ridgewood. I was lucky that day: I worked in the WTC and decided that watering my newly-planted evergreens was more important than going in early. Mr. Simpson's family I could never face again in such despair. Sadly, my life, home, marriage, and everything crumbled soon after. I am still living in a fog, and I turn 44 in 2 days! My thoughts and prayers go out to his widowed wife and his family. I hope all our prayers for the family have helped you go on. I ask for you to keep me in your thoughts and prayers, too, for I feel all alone and abandoned in this world. Peace be with you all.

This web site is affiliated with 24K Gold Music Shows - an oldies music showband performing in Central Florida. The members of the showband feel strongly that there were many heroes manifested during the onslaught of terror associated with 9-11, and present this site as a memorial to those whose lives were lost, and the loved ones they left behind.
24K Gold Music Shows perform primarily 50-60s Oldies, Elvis songs, DooWop, and older country music, as well as patriotic songs. All of the musicians, singers, dancers, and staff of the 24K Gold Music Shows extend their deepest sympathies to every one who lost loved ones on that terrible day.
24K Gold Music Shows performs an original song called "The Day America Cried", which is a 9-11 tribute song. In the live shows, they honor with the song not only the heroes of 9-11 but also those who are still alive: the police personnel, firefighters, emergency personnel, soldiers, and others who have served our country and kept us all safe.
Listen also to this beautiful, touching song "Love Can Build a Bridge" by 24K Gold Music Shows. Even though strictly speaking it's not a 9-11 memorial song, I still feel it is a very fitting song for the occasion!
