Joanne Ahladiotis

ΓΕΙΑ ΣΟΥ ΙΩΑΝΝΑ ΜΟΥ ΟΠΟΥ ΚΑΙ ΝΑ ΕΙΣΑΙ ΤΩΡΑ! Joanne, you don't know me, but as a fellow Greek, I feel very upset for that.... I feel that I lost someone from my family, someone that is very close to me. You and all the other people who lost their lives in this tragedy will be forever in my heart. God bless you! I will always remember your beautiful smile that stopped shining on 11 SEPTEMBER 2001!

With Love,
Eleftheria from Greece!

In memory of
Maurice Patrick Kelly

Hey Dad,

I've been thinking of you like I do every day! I'm in the city now, waiting for mom to finalize all this cancer stuff. Wish you were here for support! I also got a job recently and am starting Monday. I'm nervous but definitely excited. Please guide me to do well and strive for even higher goals. We all miss you each and every day.... Love you, and keep me heading in the right direction.

Love always, your little girl
<3 Danielle

In memory of
Michael A. Marti

I only knew you a short while, and only in passing, but the impact of your wonderful character will always stay with me and I'm sure with many others as well. I got to know your mom in the last few years and watched her love for you inspire a great determination to honor you as well as many others from our area. She is a wonderful woman with a smile as bright as yours and a heart of love and kindness.... She recently came to see me get married, which is what finally brought me here, to this site. I was writing out a card to thank her ... for seeing me off in church ... but really I wanted to thank you, also. Knowing her and speaking with her and, yes, even getting our nails done together : ) a few times and making new friends and neighbors because of her is something to be thankful for. I also came to know her in passing on that very same walk home. What a gift to know such wonderful people, even if just in some small way. I lost another friend as well in all this ... someone I knew much longer.... It is a comfort in some ways knowing you are an angel watching over us on earth and in heaven.... I will always honor your life and remember you with a smile.

I remember always walking 78th ave from the 29 bus. As I came home from work, Mike was in front of the garage always doing something to his car. (That's what I remember most.) Most times at first I walked past without a word. Often he always extended a "hello" or "hi, how are ya?"—not just to me, but to anyone who passed. There was always a welcome smile. I admired this in him, as I'm like that myself and spent a lot of time talking to neighbors and giving a smile and spreading some joy. He just had a certain spirit. I got to know him a little better over a few years and thought the world of him. Sometimes I would stop and talk for a minute.... I could come home after all my travels and be frustrated from a bad day at work and then ... Mike would be there. A few inspiring words and a smile, and there would be a spring in my step. He was a very caring person. I'm a big believer in little things making all the difference in the world, and those few little moments each day sometimes made all the difference for me. People would laugh at me if I got stuck for an hour talking to a neighbor as I passed by (mostly they were kind elderly people), and I could tell you most of the time Mike knew who they were. It told me a lot about Mike, how he was the kind of person who cared enough to know. If nothing else, Mike, I'm honored to have known you, honored to have the pleasure of knowing your mother, and honored to say with confidence and strength and faith that YOU MADE A DIFFRENCE IN THIS WORLD!

In memory of
Keith Alexander Glascoe

Your son was one of the finest human beings I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I was just watching "The Professional" and wondering what was going on in Keith's life when I read that unfortunately he is no longer with us. I am truly saddened and sorry for your loss. I worked with Keith a very long time ago at a club in New York called Tatau. He was a real class act, selfless, a hero.

In memory of
James Patrick White

I knew Whitey because he was my dental patient at my office in 5 WTC. I always tried to make his dental visit as easy and comfortable as I could. James was nervous about coming to the dentist, but we always made him comfortable, and we would show him a movie as he was in the chair.... I think about Whitey often, and I miss him, and I just wanted his family to know what a great person he was. As a father of three boys, I can only hope that my children will grow up to be the kind of person that Whitey was. I miss you, man.

This web site is affiliated with 24K Gold Music Shows - an oldies music showband performing in Central Florida. The members of the showband feel strongly that there were many heroes manifested during the onslaught of terror associated with 9-11, and present this site as a memorial to those whose lives were lost, and the loved ones they left behind.

24K Gold Music Shows perform primarily 50-60s Oldies, Elvis songs, DooWop, and older country music, as well as patriotic songs. All of the musicians, singers, dancers, and staff of the 24K Gold Music Shows extend their deepest sympathies to every one who lost loved ones on that terrible day.

24K Gold Music Shows performs an original song called "The Day America Cried", which is a 9-11 tribute song. In the live shows, they honor with the song not only the heroes of 9-11 but also those who are still alive: the police personnel, firefighters, emergency personnel, soldiers, and others who have served our country and kept us all safe.

The video below is a song you might like by 24K Gold Music shows, called Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy.
