In memory of
Michael D. D'Auria

It doesn't matter who I am here, it does matter who Michael D'Auria and all the other victims of that day are. I was getting ready to leave for work the morning that it happened when I was called to the TV by my wife after the first tower was hit. We didn't make it to work that day—we have our own business. Every year since that day we close our office to honor those who died. A day does not go by without remembering those who died and those who suffered because of it.

In memory of
Eileen Flecha

I saw a list of 9-11 victims yesterday and did not expect to see my unusual last name on the list. Eileen will always connect me to the tragedy of 9-11.

In memory of
Douglas MacMillan Cherry

I did not know Doug, but I recently had his oldest daughter in one of my art classes. I noticed a memorial tattoo on her wrist and asked if she had lost someone in 911. The initials were DMC, and she told me that it was her father. She is a bright, kind, and friendly girl, who was a pleasure to have in class. She clearly still struggles with this loss every day. May her father's spirit heal her of her pain eventually, and may he know what a wonderful girl his daughter is growing up to be.

In memory of
Dora Menchaca

As we near our national holiday, the Fourth of July, I am remembering how important freedom is to this country. The freedom not to live in fear is so important. Dora and the others on that flight were heroes. I worked with Dora and remember her as an intelligent, kind person.

In memory of
James Amato

Well, Tara got engaged last week, and I can't help but think about Jim ... and Deb and Tara—his first daughter getting married. What would Jim think of Pete? What advice would he give them? And how handsome they would have been walking down the aisle, Jim as the proud dad, and Tara his beautiful daughter. And then there's the PARTY. Jim was always the life of the party. It's a great time to reflect on Jim and all the blessings he would have wanted to share with his daughter and new son-in-law. I know he will be there ... as he always is, in our hearts.

This web site is affiliated with 24K Gold Music Shows - an oldies music showband performing in Central Florida. The members of the showband feel strongly that there were many heroes manifested during the onslaught of terror associated with 9-11, and present this site as a memorial to those whose lives were lost, and the loved ones they left behind.

24K Gold Music Shows perform primarily 50-60s Oldies, Elvis songs, DooWop, and older country music, as well as patriotic songs. All of the musicians, singers, dancers, and staff of the 24K Gold Music Shows extend their deepest sympathies to every one who lost loved ones on that terrible day.

24K Gold Music Shows performs an original song called "The Day America Cried", which is a 9-11 tribute song. In the live shows, they honor with the song not only the heroes of 9-11 but also those who are still alive: the police personnel, firefighters, emergency personnel, soldiers, and others who have served our country and kept us all safe.

Listen also to this beautiful, touching song "Love Can Build a Bridge" by 24K Gold Music Shows. Even though strictly speaking it's not a 9-11 memorial song, I still feel it is a very fitting song for the occasion!
