In memory of
William Russel Peterson

It's has been a long time coming ... but this is his uncle Richie from Michigan. Robin is my niece, and even though I only recently found out about Billy's passing in the World Trade Center attack, my sincere thoughts are with Robin and her little angel. In our first and only family reunion on Aug 15, 2010, I met my long-lost niece and was to glad to visit with her and her beautiful little girl. May God bless the life that Billy had on this earth, and may the good Lord bless Robin and her little angel....

Uncle Richie, a retired school teacher from Michigan

In memory of
Michael McDonnell

As the anniversary of 9/11 draws near my thoughts are repeatedly drawn to Jason Mcdonnell. I don't know this person, but the insistence of his name appearing in my thoughts led me to Google his name, and I was then led to this site for Michael McDonnell. If there is a Jason who knows Michael, many kind and loving thoughts are directed to him, and he should know that everything is A-okay. My own personal thoughts and wishes of love and peace are also being directed to the many people whose lives this person touched.

In memory of
Melanie Louise De Vere

I did not know this woman, though I know she will be dearly missed by her friends and her family. She seemed like such a caring and kind woman who, by the sounds of things, never had a frown upon her face. My heart goes out to everyone's family and friends who were affected by this tragedy. I will never forget you.

Rest in peace, and may God bless your souls. x

In memory of
Steven Paul Chucknick

My angel,

I can't believe that today is September 4th already. Four more days till your birthday. You would be turning 53, but because you were taken from us so young, you will be forever young. Steven and I still celebrate your birthday, and we always wish that you were here, so we could spoil you. The day is usually spent doing the things that you always loved to do, but I am not sure about this year. It seems so very somber. I guess we spent the last nine years just trying to hold onto you by still having a cake for you and spending the day talking about you. The truth is that I will go to the memorial alone to bring you flowers this year. Steven will be back in college and won't be with me. I hope you will be there. I can always feel your presence and know that you are near. I love you, my angel, and forever will.

My heart to yours forever,
Your wife, Barbara

In memory of
Jacqueline Donovan

I only met Jackie once, at my wedding. I heard she just loved weddings, and my brother was a friend of hers, and she asked if she could go with him. She didn't care that she didn't know us. She wanted to come and join the fun. I hadn't thought about her for a while, since I only met her the one time, but today we were at Eisenhower park and took a walk over to the 9/11 memorial. I was pretty impressed with it. It was a nice tribute. As I was skimming through the names of the Nassau residents who lost their lives that horrible day, her name popped out at me, and it touched my heart, thinking of all the people who knew and loved her and how unreal it must have all seemed to them on that day, as well as all the people who lost loved ones on that day. Speaking or reading about 9/11 brings a lump to my throat and tears to my eyes to this day. I didn't know Jackie, but I just wanted to pass along my condolences to them.

I didn't know David, but I will be running in his memory tomorrow during the WTC Run to Remember. Thank you for sharing your stories of him—they help me to know him a little better.

This web site is affiliated with 24K Gold Music Shows - an oldies music showband performing in Central Florida. The members of the showband feel strongly that there were many heroes manifested during the onslaught of terror associated with 9-11, and present this site as a memorial to those whose lives were lost, and the loved ones they left behind.

24K Gold Music Shows perform primarily 50-60s Oldies, Elvis songs, DooWop, and older country music, as well as patriotic songs. All of the musicians, singers, dancers, and staff of the 24K Gold Music Shows extend their deepest sympathies to every one who lost loved ones on that terrible day.

24K Gold Music Shows performs an original song called "The Day America Cried", which is a 9-11 tribute song. In the live shows, they honor with the song not only the heroes of 9-11 but also those who are still alive: the police personnel, firefighters, emergency personnel, soldiers, and others who have served our country and kept us all safe.

Listen also to this beautiful, touching song "Love Can Build a Bridge" by 24K Gold Music Shows. Even though strictly speaking it's not a 9-11 memorial song, I still feel it is a very fitting song for the occasion!
