Tragedy To Triumph

On September 11, the year 2001
The sun is out, it's 9 AM
America's workday's just begun

People in the World Trade Center
Heard a loud and thunderous roar
What it was, they were not really sure

As the towers shook
And then swayed a bit
A camera saw an airplane hit

First, it was one, then another came.
All hell broke loose,
And our world will never be the same.

Fire and smoke rose in the air
Along with the Souls of those
That died in there.

On the streets far below
People felled by what came down
As darkness covered most of town.

Their souls have raised, this we know,
As one by one up they go.
Just how many, we may never know.

And in the piles
Of that rubble, hide
The remains of those who died,

But there's heroes on those rubble piles
Doing what they can to do
And try to even save a few.

But make no mistakes,
You'll see that it is true,
That we as Americans always pull through,

For America, she stands strong,
And YES, she will prevail
As the evil ones who did all this will surely burn in hell.

So to all the citizens of the mighty U.S.A.,
Let's all find our strengths and our courage and pray
For those who lost their lives that day.

And pray for the families
That were left behind
And for the heroes who so diligently stayed.

Though it won't be soon, a day will come
When the search is over,
And these heroes all go home.

And when that pile of rubble is gone,
Let not these deaths be in vain,
But let them galvanize this nation
Against this evil ever happening here again
As America's triumph forever lives on.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!

I think each one of use can tell within minutes what we were doing that day when the news came and our hearts broke. I was in Minnesota.... I flew out Sept 10, 2001 to lay my father to rest. He had died the Tuesday before. We were stuck in Fargo, wanting so badly to get back to the people we loved, unable to get through on the phone, unable to fly home. Everything we knew about our freedom ... was gone ... simply vanished, and we did not know what was next ... who was next ... we were lost....

I will never forget what these unexpected heroes and their families have and are going thru.... God bless you all and lead US home ... lovingly.

ON SEPTEMBER 11, IN THE YEAR 2001, STRUCK WITH HORR0R, MY EYES HAVE SEEN IMAGES OF TERROR:

        WHY, TELL ME WHY?
        For some senseless actions,
        The world is aching.
        For some senseless actions
        The world is bleeding.
        Innocent victims
        Are living through stupor;
        Innocent victims,
        Are gone forever.
        WHY, TELL ME WHY?
        Lost and frightened,
        Tall we have to stand;
        For some fiendish actions,
        Attack have to withstand.
        With our flayed soul
        We have to carry on;
        For our children to console
        We have to look beyond.
        WHY, WHY, TELL ME WHY?
        The world that I once knew
        I will have to forget;
        The world that I once knew
        Suffered a sudden death.

With the approach of the 1st Anniversary of September 11, my family organized a "9/11 Commemorative - Support our Local Heros". The local Elementary Schools have children dress in patriotic colors, make signs and banners, and hold a parade. Local law enforcement, fire fighters, EMS, and ROTC comprise the participants, sirens and horns blasting, as they circle the school grounds while children yell, "We Love you!"

Our Middle School holds a "9/11 Commemorative Assembly" with ROTC Color Guard, Patriotic Chorus and Band, Inspirational Speakers, and a tangible remembrance program of a memorial nature to those lost on September 11th. We hand out approximately 4,000 programs at 4 schools. Our family will continue to do this each year for as long as we live. "Even grief recedes with time, but WE will NEVER FORGET."

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy in New York City. Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. The sponsors of this site are paying all expenses, and are thereby keeping the site free from advertising that would take away from the solemnity of the purpose. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE! Thank you for your understanding in this matter.
