I was only 5 years old when 9/11 took place, and I do not have any own memories from this day, since I am not an American citizen either. When I got older I started to understand this better and I am today, especially today, thinking about the victims and heroes of 9/11.
I hope they all rest in peace, and that their loved ones have them in their memories for ever.

Through the Mists of Evil, There is Still Hope.
They walked through the valley of death,
They walked in terror and fear.
They walked with tears in their eyes,
For they knew that evil had been here.
They saw the dust in the street,
Their only thought was of home.
But the mists of evil clouded their way,
And all they could do is roam.
Finally, a hand reached out to them,
It was as beautiful as could be.
It touched them on their weary shoulder,
And lead them to the land of the free.
As they sat there, they looked back,
Wondering how they could ever cope.
But this they knew, deep down in their heart,
That even through the mists of evil, there was, and still is, hope.
May God continue to bless the families and friends of those who lost their lives on that tragic day, September 11th, 2001. You are thought of always.

This day will forever be forged in the memory of every American that stood still and watched in horror the events that unfolded on Sept. 11, 2001. The loss of the loved ones from this attack is felt not only nation wide but world wide. The families of those lost are held within the hearts and minds of all of us love this country. But in the midst of the pain and the sorrow, our country found a renewed sense of patriotism and united as one, as only Americans can do.
