I live in Manchester, England and can remember exactly where I was and what I was doing and how I was told of this event for which words I cannot find to describe. I wondered how our world would ever be able to continue to turn and I lay awake thinking of the families all over the world who were suffering unimaginable grief, loss and pain. Then the stories of heroism, bravery, hope and the future started to emerge from the ashes. The people who needed our support and help the most, the bereaved and the survirors, were showing me and the rest of the world how to move forward. How humbling and how amazing. Good people always win out. You will all always have a place in my heart. I will never forget.

I am sorry to all those who lost loved ones. My families thoughts and prayers will always be with you.

I am so sorry about what happened on 9/11. I wish none of it had ever happened. Many people died on that day and it makes the whole country - maybe even the world - weep. That was one of the worst years of my life. I feel for the many families who suffered for these people's wrongdoings. But we all know that God is taking good care of them in Heaven. They are in a better place than we are.

Will leave the poem I wrote 5 years ago and hope you know how much I still care :

Hours That Stood Still

What empty hearts could imagine
Acts not close to human?
Any demon that may exist in the mind
Has plunged evil into reality
As broken bricks and bodies
Lie as dust beneath the hollow sky.
What tears could reflect
Images of shattered comfort,
Resounding stampedes of frightened ants
Searching for pockets in the wall of chaos.
Brief hours forever changing the frenzied calm
Of a city that may truly,
Never sleep.

GONE DARK

One thousand, eight hundred,
Twenty-six days
Time that has spun and scurried by
And slowly slipped away
Still we light the candles
Some prayers whispered and some cried
The solemn bell tolls a single chime
For each of those who have died
For those who joined together
To fight instead of yield
Those whose souls bravely took flight
Over a lonely, deserted field
And for those in the giant twins
A second, a moment too long to contemplate
The fiery end that was coming
An end that should be no one’s fate
For those in a ringed complex
Who heard thunder drop from the sky
Unimaginable horror
Some tears will never dry
And for those who wore a uniform
Who, valiant, looked past the smoke and flames
And boldly soldiered on ahead
Do you remember the names?
Can you call to mind
A memory that still stays
Even after one thousand, eight hundred,
And twenty-six lost and lonely days
This candle I will pass to you
To illuminate the night
With glowing columns stretching into eternity
Once more, Ground Zero lit bright
Give life to those once proud monuments
With prayers whispered and cried
That solemn bell will utter a single chime
For each soul set free to fly
Then, for today, for this moment
Sorrow we will mark
And when the candles have made their way ‘round
Once again, this day has surrendered
With Ground Zero now gone dark

Remember the heroes 9-11-01

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy in New York City. Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. The sponsors of this site are paying all expenses, and are thereby keeping the site free from advertising that would take away from the solemnity of the purpose. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE! Thank you for your understanding in this matter.
