Prayers for those who lost their lives 10 years ago. Some were good friends, family, co-workers or a stranger that is now an admired hero. They are all heros. Lord please protect and heal the families of those who were lost and let the memories of their loved ones be happy ones. Pray for all responders and those who continue protect this great country and heal us from the hurt from this horrific day. Lord, we pray for peace in the world. AMEN.

TEARS FOR 9/11 written just a day after the tragedy

There was no time to say goodbye

Why God? I asked, as I wiped my eye

This evil seed, which grew and grew

Was something I never really knew

The clouds of dust are all around

Dead bodies lying on the ground

Someone’s mother, daughter, son,

Father, brother or just someone

Promise God you will be there

To love and keep them in your care

For to day the stars have lost their light

They cannot bear to see the sight

The Tears are running down my face

I pray we may all be given grace

Give us the courage to face each day

That this evil will go away

Give us tears that we may grieve

For the loved ones who have had to leave

We know they couldn’t say goodbye

But why God did they have to die?

One day we hope to understand

Why evil visited our land

Now the tears are pouring fast

Not just for the future but for the past

For the moment, we wipe our eyes

As our Nation weeps, weeps and cries

For us who are left behind to mourn

Tomorrow will bring forth a brand new dawn

As we left behind feel the aching pain

Your deaths will not have been in vain

We will build a cross of wood and tears

To bring a world of peace for future years

God Bless America

I work as a Psw in a hospital in northern Ontario
I can not imagine what the heroes of all occupations of life went through that day. The firemen were doing a job that is couragious and desreves more than a medal.
When it all comes down to it we all say just doing my job helping people and saving lives! But a great big Thanks goes out to al of them God Bless!

Decade of Nine Eleven

Our sense of sensibility,
still stunned,
by the blinding light
of absence and horror

A reality
all are forced
to look upon
without hope
of shade

So many,
individual,
profound,
stories

None can be
added
to a sum
for the countless
measureless all

Our,
are enemies dead,
will they
of this day
ever die?

Does it matter
who, or what
the real
devil is?

will its identity
today or tomorrow
make the light
of absence and horror
less, or bearable.

rebuild, renew, reconstruct
our selves
our friends
those hurt
tangible places
our nation

Assign
known enemies
no emotion
they do not
deserve,
to find
negative feelings,
inside us.

Turn,
from the beams
of absence and horror

Do not fret,
the shadow,
of you
will always
form
their shape

look toward
the angelic light
of the lost
with joy,
and accept
their perfection

A decade away
is a fitting time,
to sanctify,
all our spaces,
with the forever,
unfinished work,
of our love.

My tribute to 9-11 Self Authored

Since 9-11 It’s been some odd years
Still the details are as fresh as the tears
That day some went to work just following routine
While the world watched terror unfold on the t.v screen
Others simply traveling boarded planes
Unraveling, politicians scrambled to compose comments
The planes began their descent for a terrorists target course
Americas working force.

As jet fuel burned some fled
Firefighters fastened helmets on their heads
Police filled squad cars and ambulances rolled
Bold as there were some for whom their was no escape still they entered
None of them self centered, but honoring a heros creed
Dust clouds and a stampede
I watched it all, the towers fall and the people jumping to avoid death
I wonder what words they said with thier last breath,
And pray in Heaven they rest.

Little has been done since then,
And I pray in my lifetime never to see something so wicked again,
I weep for the dead and I weep for the living,
Through God may our enemies be beset.
As for placing a mosque nearby I have some misgivings.
No we will never forget our heros, our family,
And some whom stories stayed with us that we had never met,
Through God may our enemies be beset,

For the heroes, victims, and all who looked on;
  for an American era and generations gone.
For those whose lives were lost that day;
  for all the tears never washed away.
For the trembling of our nation, right down to the core;
  for the violence of hatred from a foreign shore.
For those in uniform, a cloak of the brave;
  for the love of our nation that surpasses the grave.
For the souls of those who fell from the sky;
  for the tears that rained down from the eagle’s eye.
For the flight of the flag in darkness it shook;
  for the peace of mind that our enemies took.
For the darkening of the day that we’ll never forget;
  for the brightness of the sun that was destined to set.
For the unity of one nation, tried yet true;
  for the colors of courage; red, white, and blue.

We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE! Thank you for your understanding in this matter.
