Flight 93

I held the switch in trembling fingers, asked
why existence felt so small, so purposeless,
like a minnow wriggling feebly in my grasp ...

vibrations of huge engines thrummed my arms
as, glistening with sweat, I nudged the switch
to OFF ... I heard the klaxonís shrill alarms

like vulturesí shriekings ... earthward, in a stall ...
we floated ... earthward ... wings outstretched, aghast
like Icarus ... as through the void we fell ...

till nothing was so beautiful, so blue ...
so vivid as that moment ... and I held
an image of your face, and dreamed I flew

into your arms. The earth rushed up. I knew
such comfort, in that moment, loving you.

I beliene that the 9-11 victims were most definately American Heroes, they done what they done because they loved this nation, and we need to stop and think of them everyday because they are an American Hero and that is what they deserve. God Bless All the families who lost loved one's... My thought and prayers are always with you. Also, my brother is in the Navy and my cousin, Jack, is in Iraq right now, keep them in yoour thoughts and prayers because they are my American Heroes.

Final Destination: Shanksville, Pa

A Tribute to the Crew and Passengers of United Flight 93

Newark airport is nice, time will just fly
The takeoff was great, now for fun in the sky
The level off is smooth; PA says something about a bomb
People donít pay much attention, everybody pretty calm

Suddenly things get crazy, start to become unwound
Flight attendants are yelling, people running all around
Now itís pretty scary, people starting to pray
Cell phones a buzzing, everyone something to say

Terrible things in New York, bad things in DC
Never such carnage is our history
Take the cockpit is what we must do,Women, men, the young, old folks too
No time to think, no time to be sad
Letís control our destination; or itís going to be bad

ďLetís rollĒ, started our finish, that was our call
Forty acted as one for the good of us all
The final war was furious, we got the final say
NotAmericaís Capital,but,FinalDestination:Shanksville,Pa.

What would you do, if you met life face to face?
Would you die like these Heroes, with courage and grace?

I was 14 the day this all transpired. I remember hearing about it in school but I only thought they were rumors; Until I got home and saw the TV, did I realize that this was real.  Still hoping that it was all a dream and that I would wake up and everything would be normal.  i didn't sleep for a week.  All I could do was stare at CNN and curse those who attacked us.  I am from Long Island.  I can remember smelling and seeing the smoke from the fires.  Now, here I am, four years, seven months and 2 weeks later still thinking about it.  I am a US Marine now, and still cry when I see the horrors of that day.  I still think about it constantly and pray for those who perished that Tuesday morning.  I find that the spirit of the citizens of this great country after that date was amazing.  I have never seen such patriotism and zeal to get the "bad guys".  But, I am apalled at how quickly those emotions dissipated and everyone went along their daily grind as if nothing had ever happened.  Now if I were to ask someone of that date, I would receive an answer of what had happened.  No one even thinks about those who perished or the heroes who fought, not only those who fought the war but those who fought to keep patients alive, those who fought through fire and brimstone to try and save others, those who fought to find the facts of what really happened and even those who fought to defend Middle Eastern Americans from persecution.  No.  We are Americans.  We are selfish in our ways and always will be until what I thought to be a life changing event occurs.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy in New York City. Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. The sponsors of this site are paying all expenses, and are thereby keeping the site free from advertising that would take away from the solemnity of the purpose. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE! Thank you for your understanding in this matter.
