I can't believe what America had to go through. I didn't believe it when at school they said we'd been attacked. I was only 10 (in 6th grade) then, and I didn't understand what was going on. I thought America is the best ... freedom and justice for all; we were invincible. I never thought we could actually be attacked.... So now, when I think about it, no country is perfect. And no country has perfect leaders. Even my teacher said that, when she heard the news, she thought it was a joke until she saw the television in the teachers' room. I just think about all the lives lost, and it makes me wanna cry inside. Why weren't we prepared? It makes me think a lot about our government and how I could help in the future. God bless!
Anna, age 14
P.S. We all are sorry for the losses in many families.

I WILL NEVER EVER FORGET THAT DAY. FOR MORE REASONS THAN ONE, BUT FIRST AND FOREMOST IS THAT IT WAS A DAY THAT AMERICA WAS SHAKEN BUT PROVED WE WILL NEVER FALL. AND ALSO, IT IS THE DAY THAT MY IMAGE OF A TRUE HERO WAS CHANGED. AMERICA AND I HAVE THE BEST HEROES EVER AND NO ONE PERSON CAN EVER REPLACE THAT. GOD BLESS ALL OUR MILITARY, AND EMERGENCY RESPONDERS. YOU ARE THE TRUE EPITOME OF THE WORD HERO IN MY BOOK. GOD BLESS YOU ALL AND TO ALL VICTIMS AND LOVED ONES YOU ARE ALWAYS IN MY PRAYERS. GOD BLESS YOU ALL. THANK YOU HEROES

ALL I SEE IS SMOKE AND FIRE, I THINK THE WHOLE WORLD HAS COME TO AN END.
BUILDIINGS ARE BURNING PEOPLE ARE DYING.
I CANT GET THE PICTURE OUT OF MY HEAD.
AND EVEN THOUGH HE FOUGHT THE GOOD FIGHT.
GOOD OL' JOE HENRY HE LOST HIS LIFE.
SAVING CHILDREN AND WIVES, NOW HE'S GONE AND IT'S JUST NOT RIGHT.
