It hurts to revisit and watch video of the ungodly events play out out over and over again...but we must not forget, keep vigilant and not take for granted what we have here in this country.

I wrote this song 6 days after the attack after a visit to ground zero to try and help out. May we never forget...

Remember Us
Verse 1
I have seen the dark of evil
I have heard a distant storm
Felt a trembling in my spirit
As I faced the cold of dawn
What I once thought strong now crumbled
In an empty cloud of dust
Will we stand with the forgiven
Remember us

Verse 2
Hear the voices of Your children
As they cry out on the street
In the ruins and the ashes
Many miles upon their feet
Searching through the haze for answers
And on knees with eyes above
Will we stand with the forgiven
Remember us

Chorus 1
Remember us for we are weary
Living in a world of pain
Remember us each time we walk away
Come and take us home again
And every time we put our faith in things
We should not trust
Will we stand with the forgiven
Remember us

Verse 3
I see a child without a mother
I see a father with no son
I see a picture of a smiling face
Have you seen this missing one
And through every tear and broken heart
Oh how we need Your love
Will we stand with the forgiven
Remember us

Chorus 2
Remember us for we have wandered
Down a road so far from You
Remember us and open up our eyes
To Your mercy and Your truth
And every time we put our faith in things
We should not trust
Will we stand with the forgiven
Remember us

(BRIDGE)
It was on a tree You spoke these words of truth
Father please forgive they know not what they do

Verse 4
Do Your tears fall from the heavens
As You look down from above
I know all You ever want is just to show
Your grace and love
But I wonder how long will it be
Before You say enough
Will we stand with the forgiven
Remember us

Bless all that make me safe. My husband is a firefighter and has come home safe so far. I think of my husband as a hero and all those who risk there life to safe ours. To parents, loved ones, chlidren, of who are shattered by  9-11-01, bless you all. I cry for the heros that lost there lives. Please be strong and know that someone is taking care of your loved one. you are strong too, go on for your children and family.

TWIN TOWERS OF STRENGTH

Death flashed out of the skies,
Fueled by terrorists telling lies,
A fireball searing our eyes,
Burning deep into our brains.
One hundred and ten stories later,
Our world was an incinerator;
The crematorium and its creator,
Crashed and scattered love’s last remains.

Hate can break up steel and stone,
Hate can bury flesh and bone,
Hate can turn backyards into battle zones.
Hate can beat us down and make us feel all
alone.

This had to be our darkest flight,
But we broke through the blackest night,
And by the dawn’s early light,
We beheld a calm, reassuring sight.

Our God and our family, and
Our country ‘tis of thee;
These towers of strength were
Still standing for you and me.
These towers of strength were
Still standing for you and me.

Our God and our family, and
Our country ‘tis of thee;
These towers of strength were
Still standing for you and me.

Hate can break up steel and stone,
Hate can bury flesh and bone,
Turn backyards into battle zones,
But no American ever has to stand
alone.
No American ever has to stand
alone.

Our God and our family, and
Our country ‘tis of thee;
These towers of strength are
Still standing for you and me.

Our God and our family, and
Our country ‘tis of thee;
These towers of strength are
Still standing for you and me.
These towers of strength are
Still standing for you and me.

That’s why no American ever has to stand
alone.
That’s why no American ever has to stand
alone.

I was recently watching a documentary on how the world trade center memorial design was decided on and constructed. It impressed me how much they took into account, the wants, and the needs of the family members. It also impressed me the fact that many of the people that lost someone in the towers were also some of the people that helped construct the memorial. On this documentary I heard what this memorial meant and how the people feel now as opposed to what it felt like the day they fell. The transition of emotions over the last ten years prompted me to write this:
9/11 Trade Center Tribute
In this place, as an individual, I lost no one.
In this place, as an American, I lost 2753 compatriots.
In this place, as a citizen of the world, I lost peace, I lost security, I lost trust.
In this place, as a human being, I found spirit, I found life, I found love, I found hope, in this place.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy in New York City. Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. The sponsors of this site are paying all expenses, and are thereby keeping the site free from advertising that would take away from the solemnity of the purpose. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE! Thank you for your understanding in this matter.
