I still cry thinking about the people who lost their lives that day. I was in school when it happened. I had family members in New York, but they didn't get hurt. But to the families who lost someone, I just want to say that you are in my prayers, and I will never forget the 3000 people who lost their lives that day. R.I.P. to the people of 9/11.

September 14, 2001

Letter to my daughter regarding the terrorist attack on New York City, September 11, 2001.

My Dearest Megan,

There have been many tears shed for the people who have lost their lives due to this terrible act of evil. Over 5,000 people are feared lost in this tragedy. You are not even two years old yet, and I fear the day you learn of this horrific event. My one wish is to protect you from this evil, as you are my child and I love more than words can ever say. But I know that one day you will learn of this event and want to understand why it happened. However, Iím not even sure I understand the underlying beliefs that would drive someone to orchestrate such a terrible act against human lives.

I have learned in my life that there are people in this world that commit horrible acts against humanity. But, I have also learned that there is far more good in this world than not. Through this tragedy, thousands upon thousands of people have pulled together to help the needy through this heartbreaking time. Many people gave their lives to save others through selfless acts of bravery and heroism. The two hundred or more firefighters and police officers who went into the rubble to save who they could, and ended up losing their own lives when the building collapsed are to name but just a few. There were also the people on one of the hijacked planes who decided to crash the plane they were in, in order to save the lives of others that the plane's impact would have taken. The evil has brought out the good in many, many people. This I know God would be proud of.

I thought about the state of the world before deciding to have a child. My conclusion was that life itself is reward enough and you would be glad that I decided to bring you into this world. I hope this prediction of war does not come true, and that the perpetrator will be brought to justice quietly and quickly with no more lives lost. If things get worse before they get better, please hold onto this knowledge and never give up hope, no matter how terrible the world becomes. Defy the darkness with your light and hold tight to your hope. There is always goodness in the world and it will always triumph over evil in the end.

The spirit of freedom is steadfast among the people and will persist forever. Please feel safe, Megan, as you live your life. I beg of you, never give up hope. Hold tight to your sensitivities. Donít let malice harden you. Keep your spirit high and be good to others. Help others when you can and you will be helping yourself. Stay strong and generous, and let no one undermine your good intentions.

I love you with all my heart, my soul, and the very breath I breathe. I would give my life for you, my sweet tender child. Please know this and keep it with you forever. You are very, very special and will offer the world much goodness and compassion in whatever direction you take in life. I am truly blessed to have given life to a person so extraordinary, and I know this before you are even two years old. Just remember, it doesnít matter so much what you do in life, but how you do it. Stay true to yourself and you will be eternally happy.

And, in regards to horrible events such as the attack on NYC, along with other tragedies in the world, itís good to cry for those who are suffering, but do not lose your hope; for if you do, you will be defeated. It's okay to feel sad and angry, but act out of goodness. Live by these words, and the heavens will smile on you, bringing your soul much warmth.

I love you forever.

Your Mommy,

ZoŽ

P.S. Never give up on your dreams.

        UNTITLED

A lot of people are wondering why,
Why did those planes dive from the sky?
What would cause someone to commit these acts?
...What was the reason for their attacks?

Only God knows why it happened that day,
But one thing's for sure, we all need to pray.
We should pray for the victims, their families,
their friends, their loss.
Pray for rebuilding, no matter the cost.
We are a strong Country, once based on the Lord,
Let's get back to basics, let's live by His Word.

A lot of people want to bring us down,
By killing our people, destroying our towns.
What were they after? A Country to seize?
What they have gotten was us on our knees.
Praying to God, our mighty Creator,
For He is our one and only, our beloved Saviour.
It's time to wake up, let's all be heard.
Let's get back to basics, let's live by His Word.

The people responsible are so full of hate,
Because they lack Jesus, who makes our lives great.
Nothing was gained by what has been done,
But please be aware, it's only just begun.
How many more people must sacrifice lives?
How many more children, husbands and wives?
This violence is tragic, it's struck many o' chord,
Let's get back to basics, let's live by His Word.

We've all been hit hard, we now stand United,
Pulling together as a Country, to remain undivided.
We should trust in God, leave it all in His hands,
For we do not know, only He knows our plans.
This has really touched me, I don't know about you,
Let's all stand proud, for our Red, White and Blue.
My friends, if you're not, get right with the Lord,
Let's get back to basics, let's live by His Word.

Those on Flight 93 are true heroes, just like every single innocent person involved. To those who saved lives, who stayed calm, and fought their hardest, you will NEVER be forgotten. To the families of the brave and courageous, your son, daughter, wife, husband, niece, nephew, uncle, auntie, granddad and grandmom will live on forever as the 9/11 heroes. We will never forget them. God bless.

IN HONOR OF ALL WHO DIED IN NEW YORK ON 9-11-2001.

I will never forget the day I stood in my kitchen with my loved ones and my eyes were pasted on the television set just watching the horror unfold before my eyes. I was in shock! I will not ever forget that sight in my mind ever! I will never forget the loss I had felt for the families who had lost their loved ones. It was a desolate empty horrifying feeling.

At that day and at that time we were all one. Nothing mattered, not color, race, etc. We were one. It was unfortunate that we had to have blood shed to bring us together as one country.

What has happened since then? We all became consumed with our lives and forgot. We should never forget. Ask yourself this. "How would you feel if you were in the victims' shoes or their families?" Would you want them to forget?

I pray for all those that lost a loved one and for those who lost their lives trying to save another and I also give credit to those who did rescue and were survivors. I thank you all. Now lets pull together and take a brief period out of your life to please remember and do not forget. Come together as one nation not just now, but for always. Put aside hate and let Love and God into your life. God Bless you All!

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy in New York City. Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. The sponsors of this site are paying all expenses, and are thereby keeping the site free from advertising that would take away from the solemnity of the purpose. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE! Thank you for your understanding in this matter.
