9-11
9-11 was tragic. It was horrible. What can I do? What can I say? Who did this? Why was it done? 911 is supposed to be for help but I guess not these days, people cryin,g hearing the teardrops drip, drop innocent people on 9-11. Please help rescue them. I hate that this happened. What has this become a magical day turned into the worst day 9-11

"Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty, Who was and is and is to come!" My thoughts and prayers for the families that lost a love one in the 9/11 horrific act. I pray that we all will remember the day the world stood still September 11, 2001. God Bless each of you and I hope we continue to pray for peace on earth. Always, remember the lives that were taken without warning or remorse. But; taken all in the name of hate.

I never realized just how bad it was on 9-11. I knew that it was really bad and a tragic event that should not have happened, but today I watched almost all of the 9-11 tributes and shows about all that happened. I think that USA is NOT to blame. Those innocent people lost their lives because of the stupid action of those people. Until recently I didn't know what I had till it was gone and it has taken me 3 1/2 years to realize that. Next year will be 10 years since this happened, and those innocent people will NOT be forgotten, and no one will forget that day. God Bless The USA!

It's amazing to me that I have gone through something like 9/11 and come out on the other side. It's one thing to hear about the bombing of Pearl Harbor, Kent State, the assassination of John Kennedy, but it's another to live it. As attached as you try to become to world (or at least nation) changing events of the past, it's an abstract pain you can't quite behold no matter how hard you try or how many television specials you watch.

It's been 9 years. I was pregnant with my first child on 9/11/01. I was entering an entirely new life that I had never lived before, the life of a mother to a baby who relied on me for every part of her life. Unbeknownst to me, I was also entering an entirely new life that day, one changed my life experience thus far. On 9/10/01 I had lived for 31 years, 7 months, and 6 days in the way that anyone born on 9/12/01 has lived. This includes my daughter, my son, my nephew, my sister's unborn baby, kids I tutor, my kids' friends, my future grandchildren. I had lived a life of inexperienced history. A life of learning about events of the past. And now, I live a life like those before me, my mother, my father, all of my grandparents, my teachers. I live a life of experienced history.

Some of my favorite assignments in school were those that brought me closer to history, and closer still to the people in my life. The interviews with grandparents about war, about growing up in the Depression, about presidents clumped into the category of George Washington for me, because they might as well have been born in 1700. Stories from my parents about a war that really wasn't a war, about a presidential crime that meant nothing to me. And now, I am the parent. I will be the grandparent. I hold the stories for my children of the day that world stopped turning.

My fear is that one day I will see the days of "We will never forget" sales, the day of the 9/11 "holiday" when kids are off from school and they sleep in all day, then play war video games into the night, the day that people go to the store to buy patriotic decorations just to hang up for 9/11. My fear is that as the years go by, and we become a society with a greater amount of "those born after 9/11" we will see the glorification of 9/11 rather than the somber respect we still feel now.

My fear is not about terrorism. It's not about acceptance. It's not about Muslims or mosques or bombs or freedom. My fear is desensitization.

The reality is this will happen. It's inevitable. I will see it in my very own children. They will never understand, and although WE will never forget, they cannot even remember. It's happened before, (my grandparents could not fathom the atrocities of the Civil War; my parents cannot feel about the Second World War the way their parents did; and I cannot understand the death of a beloved president the way my parents can.) And it will happen again.

My fear is that I will live to see it.

I don't know anyone who lost their life in this terrible tragedy but every year I, like many, spare a moment to think of all those affected. Year on year I watch the programmes dedicated to the victims of 9/11 and year on year I still cry at every single one, for those who lost their lives, for those who lost loved ones and for those who still carry the pain.
My prayers are with you, not just today but everyday.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy in New York City. Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. The sponsors of this site are paying all expenses, and are thereby keeping the site free from advertising that would take away from the solemnity of the purpose. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE! Thank you for your understanding in this matter.
