I REMEMBER.....  9-11-01
and I am reminded this week of those horrible hours on end watching as our Nation came vulnerable as we watched horrified at the thought we were underfire.

I attended Church in Alamogordo with Al and his family... and I most remember him for his exuberance, towards God; as he would bounce up and down arms lifted in---Praise and Adoration for the God he loved.
I remember the kindness he showed to my children (as well as all the children in the church) as he encouraged them to seek the Lord in Praise.
I also remember him as a Police Officer in Alamogordo; and know he was proud to serve people; and when he retired and became a Flight Attendant---I know he was just as excited about serving people; and the opportunity to witness to those he would come into contact with.

My prayers and our love go out to his family as they are reminded once again of their loss this week--due to reports of obl death...

May you all continue to stay strong, and live; love; and laugh ---- we have not forgotten!

I am trying to visit all who perished on 9-11-06 and add comments to those who don't have any. You will always be remembered.

I remember Alfred Gilles as a child and early teen. He would visit our little home town of Elie, Manitoba every summer and spend time playing with my brother Marc (who was deceased in 1980). Alfred Gilles was an only child and seemed very devoted to his mother. I can also remember trips to Fargo, ND and visiting Alfred Gilles and his parents at their home. I recall playing in the park behind his home. In my photo album I do have a picture of Alfred Gilles with my brother Marc that was taken during the summer of 1971. That is last time I saw him. I offer my sympathy to his family and will keep you in my prayers.

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!

9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner. We are maintaining this site with our own money and time. We try to keep the advertisements to a minimum and we try to make them as unobtrusive as possible. The revenue goes back to maintaining this site.

Thank you for your understanding in these matters.
