Amy was the coolest girl at Newfield HS that I had the pleasure of spending time with. She was always so sweet to everyone! I went to my first concert with her and some other friends, it was at Nassau Coliseum, Metallica in 1988. That night was one of the best experiences of my life and I am glad to have spent it with her. Peace be with you Amy. God bless you and all of America. Love, April

Amy, It's amazing how often I still think of you, hear your laugh, still argue with you about movies in my head. I'm not somebody who ever believed in a hereafter, but you make me hope that there is one, so that I might get to see you again.

Thinking of you Amy, as I always do on this day. I can still see that smile. Sending much love and comfort to your family and loved ones. We will never forget.

I always think of you and miss you dearly. Amy, you were a special person, and I cannot express the depth of my feelings adequately, so I won't even try. Peace.

Each year, I try to find my way to make peace with the day. Some years, I know just what to do, and the day is filled with happy memories. Other years, I cannot find peace at first. This is one of those years. I feel confused.

I will spend tomorrow walking around New York City, as I have most years since you died. I will watch and try to figure out how the City can still rush by so quickly and realize that, for many people, this is just an ordinary day. But for me it is always a reminder of what life should be. I stop and watch--that's all. And I try to keep what I see with me in the days after. Somewhere around the middle of the day, I will find my peace, as I always do. Thank you for helping me to do it.

I will always love you. I will always wish that you and Sharon could have met. She also cares about you very much. Cleo says, "Hey!"

The years have passed, time moves on, but thoughts of you are there still. All of our lives changed that day; our inner peace was shattered. We haven't been the same. Your strength and love that bound us all was gone. Our hearts filled the void with anger and hatred. I know we search still for the light we had when you were with us. The smooth calmness in the raging sea of life. As we struggle on, I have faith that you know how much you meant to us all. We all miss you dearly and we always will.

We miss your bright smile and zest for life. We think of you often and especially today as your name was read at the Ground Zero memorial. You'll be forever in our hearts.

Amy was my neighbor, when I was a little girl she taught me how to ride my first two wheeler, we stayed out there all day long and she never gave up on me:-) I think of you often and I know we will see each other one day. Amy had a heart of gold and always treated me like her little sister.

Amy, it's been forever. I remember you hanging out with me in the pit in high school. We were always grubbin butts together. LOL. Take care, sweetheart. You will always be remembered in my prayers. Til we all meet again....

I believe Amy grew up on the same block as me in Selden, NY. She was older, and cooler, and of course now I realize much cooler as I read more about her legacy and life. I wish I had known her better, and I know that she made the world a brighter place while on this earth.

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
