To the family and friends of Amy king. We participated in a ride to remember on 9/11/11 in balto md. We made a donation to the victims families and by doing so we had the honor of picking a name to display during the ride. The last name King is a family name as well and we just wanted to insure you that she will never be forgotten. God Bless you all and you have always been and will be in our prayers

Amy,
I did not know you, but on this 10 year anniversary of 9-11 our high school made bracelets with all the victims on them. I wore the bracelet with Amy R. King and thought about you all day. I take this moment to honor you and pray for your family.

My memories of Amy are of a beautiful girl, full of life and she would always greet you with a smile. I will always choose to remember her in this way to honor her sacrifice. God bless, you will always be missed.

I never knew Amy, but as the ten year anniversary is approaching I just want to say to her family and friends, that I am thinking of them, and they are in my prayers. Rest in peace Amy.

Coming up on this ten year anniversary my thoughts and prayers go out to the King family. Many great childhood memories of mine include this wonderful family with their three beautiful daughters.......Such a senseless tragedy. God Bless You. Cindy Ferraro (Solinger)

Chautauqua Striders remembers Amy especially on this 10th anniversary. Her memory lives on in the Amy King Memorial Scholarship fund established in her honor. She was truly an inspiration to everyone who knew her.

It's hard to believe it's been nine years. But we still haven't forgotten you....

My great and amazing cousin died in that crash, and I want to wish her good luck and tell her to have fun hangin' out in heaven with god.

God bless your family. I worked with Amy at United for a brief time and her sister Debbie was my boss at United Airlines Reservation for a brief time as well. I do remember you both! My thoughts are always with you especially on this day. 9/11/2009

Thinking of Amy and all those who perished on September 11, 2001. I went to the same high school as Amy and graduated with her sister several years earlier than Amy. I wish to give my heartfelt sympathy to all of Amy's family and to all the families. Much peace and love to you all. Debbie, you are always on my mind today. I'm sorry for the loss of your sister.

Although it's been 7 years, we haven't forgotten. We miss you Amy.

I graduated from high school with Amy in 1989 from Southwestern Central School. I wasn't a real good friend, but I considered her one. She was a really nice person. We didn't do anything together, but that doesn't mean that I don't miss her. Because I do. I think about her every September. And I always manage to go and put flowers at her memorial at the school. She was a cross-country runner. I want everyone to know that she didn't deserve this tragedy to happen to her. She was a good, strong person and a fighter. And hopefully she didn't go down without a fight.

I just stopped by briefly on my Harley at Amy's 16th birthday party. Said the usual hellos and made a comment about her becoming a beautiful and graceful lady. Upon leaving, I received a generous hug from Amy and went on my way.

Amy was my cousin. She was the defination of purity and kindness in a person, that of which I've not experienced in another human being. I asked my husband, Pete, does everyone have in their family, someone who past away that made an impact on you like Amys death made on me? I am still without words. My heart breaks as bad as it ever did and I think it always will.

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
