I remember 2 twin brothers in 1978 in Bushwick section in Brooklyn, New York and we had a softball league ran by Braxter Burgess. We had a draft and I the player manager drafted Andre Fletcher to play first base for the Pirates. And I played 3 base we had a good year that year. I also remember Zach going to the Mets. That's my memory of Andre because the next year you moved away. May God bless your family.

I never knew you, but today I ran in a "Tunnel to the Towers" 5K run at Joint Base Balad, Iraq. During this event, the first 343 runners to sign in received an ID card with one of the 343 firefighters on it. I received you. I have run many 5K runs here, but today was my fastest time yet, 21:58. I just wanted to tell you "thank you" for your sacrifice and "thank you" for your strength today as it helped me to run faster than ever. I will think of you every time I run for a long time to come.

Andre, both you and Zack taught me and my brothers alot about being men. You made a difference in my life and I still remember you guys hanging out with us on Friday nights, when you could be doing anything else. You will always be a hero to me.

Five years and it seems just like yesterday we were talking about your trip cross country and laughing about all the fun we would have. You would be amazed at the changes and believe it or not I think of you or bring you up at least once a day, strange how one person can cause so many ripples. I guess thats why so many of us love that movie, "Its a Wonderful Life" because we really don't know how truly blessed we are until we are gone. Andre, your physical body may have become part of ground zero, but that just solidifies the fact that your spirit will go on within the new foundations insuring they will stand firm and safe.

Andre, The other day the thought of you and zack came back to me so hard....I decided some things as I was thinking of you guys...I wanted to thank you, if it wasn't for you and zack I think I would never have been able to do have of the things I want to do. You guys thought me that no matter how scared you are you still have to do what you have to in order to survive, maintain and succeed in life. As far as Zack goes you no longer have to worry about him.I got his back now and forever. I promise you this Andre.

When I think of the times you made me laugh,
It makes me feel so sad to know that you had somewhere to go.
God knows Ill miss you.
It breaks my heart to know youll be away, so far,
But Ill be with you.
We’ll meet in heaven some day.
Till then Ill just look to the stars
And when I feel a breeze, your spirit’s running free..
I know you’ve smiled at me with love,
And I can feel your touch.
I will remember..
PROMISE
I will not forget you..
Ill never let the memories fade,
I WONT FORGET.
There are no good byes,
Just a pause to celebrate your life.
With all that’s in me,
Ill keep your flame burning bright
As you walk into eternal light
And when I feel a breeze, your spirit’s running free.
I know you’ve smiled at me with love,
And I can feel your touch.

Post your memorial thoughts:
Share your feelings and memories of grief and
sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories. If you knew this
person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with
us something about his/her life:
- what kind of person he/she was,
- what nice points you remember about him/her,
- what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
- what you two perhaps did together,
- what he/she meant to you,
- or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging
for other people.
This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.
Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner.
