Very sorry to hear about your Mother, that was a day I'll never forget, 3 days after that on 9/14/01, I had a heart attack. I think I watched it over and over in dis-belief and wondering how this could happen to us! Your Mother, and all the others, did nothing to deserve that! God Bless you and yours. Be strong and someday we will all live in peace somewhere!

Anna was my friend and she will never be forgotten by me. She was a very kind and generous person. She was always ready to give you a smile. My heart goes out to her daughter Deena and to Kevin her husband.

I came across Anna's name which has special meaning for me because my grandmother's name was Annie McMullin Laverty. My grandmother died in the late 1950's when I was a kid but I've never forgotten her. I even believe she's my guardian angel because she came to me in 1984 just before my son was born. She told me all would be fine and it was -- my son Chris is a wonderful 21-year-old student at Purdue University.

My heart goes out to Anna's family on the five year anniversary of her death. I'm sure she was a wonderful lady and my heartfelt prayers go out to her family.

May her memory be eternal.

I recently visited Ground Zero, I am an Australian Female, 35 years of age, with four sons age 1,3,5,8. I could not help feel connected that a Laverty has lost their life in such tragic circumstances. I lost my father also at age 23. To you and your Family I feel your sadness.

Anna was my mother. She was the most thoughtful person in the world and was also very caring. I loved her so much more than anything. She was my best friend and always I could go to her with anything on my mind or if there was something wrong. She never ever let me down. I being a teenager was not easy for her to put up with but she took her job as being a mom and loved every good and bad aspect of it. I must say there is such a void in my heart by not having her by my side. I often wonder how it will be not having her there for me when I decide to get married or if i ever have a child. That i guess is what hurts the most. I know she would have loved to be there for me and watch all of these wonderful things. And the funny thing is, is that she will be there in my mind, heart and soul. If anything she taught me alot by her dying, she taught me to love more feel more and believe that everything will always be okay and that after something like 9-11 that there are good people tn the world and i really do believe that. And to my mother, thank you mom. I miss you deeply and I love you.

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!

9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner.
