I just watched the movie, "Remember Me," and looked up this website to see if the name "Tyler Hawkins" was listed. He was not, but a young man, age 30, in his prime of life was. His name was Anthony Hawkins. I thank God that God created in us compassion for others, the resolve to overcome tragedies. I know that their deaths were not in vain, and they are remembered—otherwise, I would not be writing this.

Pray for the families and friends of these fallen heroes and for our country, to heal our wounds and strengthen our faith throughout our nation.

I had just started a new job when I heard from my daughter that she was joining the service. I wasn't upset because I knew that there was no war and thus no chance of losing her. She'd just left for basic training when we heard the news on the radio, at work, about the Twin Towers. I can't describe how I felt at that moment: All those people killed, and the thought that my daughter would be going to war. I stood still, not able to move from the numbness inside. All I could do was pray, pray for the people in the towers, the people on the planes, the families waiting to hear about their loved ones—and pray that somehow my daughter would not go to war. My prayers were answered for her; she never had to go overseas, and she is now out of the service. I was lucky, but I know that, for the rest of you, your lives were turned upside down, and for this I am so sorry. I know we will never get over that time in our lives, and we will never forget those who died. I am truly so sorry for your loss. We all have loved, and we all have lost, but we go on, and we keep their memories alive through us. I wish your family the best and peace be within your hearts.

I just watched the movie. Just like all the others who have posted comments on here, I wanted to know if there was a real Tyler Hawkins who died. Even if there is not, my heart goes out to all the families who lost loved ones on 9-11-01.

I, too, just watched the movie "Remember Me." And when I saw at the end that Tyler Hawkins dies, I wanted to know if this was a real person who died on September 11th, 2001. I cried at the end of the movie, and my heart went out to the lives of the loved ones of the lost.

I watched the same movie that the girl above mentioned, and it, too, prompted me to see if the character was an actual person who lost his life on 9/11.

My thoughts and prayers go to your family and all those who lost their lives on this tragic day.

I watched a movie today about a young man named Tyler Hawkins, which prompted me to visit this memorial site to see if he was truly a victim of the 9-11 tragedy. I see his name is not here, but yours is, and I pray that those who knew and loved you have found peace. It is so hard to think about what happened to all of you and all the lives that were touched by 9-11.

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!

9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner.
