I knew Richard when he was a young boy starting out with ZX81 and the Commodore 64. He was way a head of all of us at that time..He was a good friend with Alexis Apparicio and his brother David and we had great times together at Caltec Computer shop in Charminster rd Bournemouth
..The rearlly strange thing is that I met Alex a few years after the terrible event and with out anyone telling us we both knew he was in one of the buildings.I even had a dream about it the week b4 it happened when I was living in Holland..All I know is he is in a Far better place than here...God Bless you mate I shall never forget you.XXX RIP

Richard,
You were a bright spark and burning light snuffed out too early. I remember the beers, the sailing, the dinners out, and "waving to the poor people." You're gone but still remembered.

Richard and I worked for the same company, and he had helped me through a few software bugs now and then. I remember him best on the company vacation to southern Mexico, where we fished and had a few meals together. He was a kind-hearted and intelligent man in the prime of his life. I was shocked that he was in the wrong place at the wrong time, being that he was from England and would under most circumstances never have been near the twin towers had it not been for a business meeting scheduled for that morning. I will always remember you, and rest in peace, Richard!

I knew Richard at school. I remember introducing him to computer programming on the ZX81. Being the bright chap he was, he then outshone me and went on to write computer games for the Commodore 64, earning quite a bit of money before he was 15. I have always had enormous respect for him, and I am very sad we have lost a very sincere, genuine, and clever young man.
My thoughts go to his family and friends.

Post your memorial thoughts:
Share your feelings and memories of grief and
sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories. If you knew this
person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with
us something about his/her life:
- what kind of person he/she was,
- what nice points you remember about him/her,
- what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
- what you two perhaps did together,
- what he/she meant to you,
- or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging
for other people.
This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.
Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner.
