Just wanted the family to know that I haven't forgotten 9-11, nor the sacrifices the heroes made that day. My heart and prayers are with you even today because of the "day to day" sacrifices you make without your beloved. Derek, I said an extra prayer for you tonight.

Hello,
My name is Loren. I am a career firefighter for West Metro Fire, which is the department that borders Denver Fire to the west in Colorado. On 9-11-08 I participated in a memorial stair climb sponsored by Denver Fire in downtown Denver at the Qwest Building. This is a 55-story building. We climbed twice to commemorate the 110 stories of the WTC. We did it "bunked out" and "scotted," the second trip on air. The climb was limited to 343 Firefighters, and each FF was given a necklace with the name, picture, and company of one of our 343 fallen brothers to wear on the climb and keep. Well, I was given Anthony. I just wanted to let everyone know that his family was in my prayers, and Anthony was in my thoughts, throughout the climb. I felt a connection to Anthony while climbing that stairwell that was real and hard to put into words. May God bless Anthony and those who knew and loved him.
Loren

Cousin Anthony,
I can't believe it's been seven years. I will never forget the sound of your voice and laughter. I will never forget you, and as the years go by, I will always find a web site that will let me send my love to you and remind everyone what a special person you are. You're known as FF. Anthony Rodriguez--my hero!
Love you,
Cuz oxoxox

Hello,
I am sorry to hear about him. I once knew an Anthony Rodrigues. We went to school together in the Bronx. We were good friends; we loved basketball. If this is the person I've looking please contact me at 954-793-5122 or email me at wmcalderon54@hotmail.com. I lost contact around 1987.
Thank you,
Bill

I think of you a lot, Tony. You were like a little brother to me and the gang from PR. You always took good care of us and always would do anything for anyone. You made so many people laugh. I will always remember you as my little bro. Miss you!

I personally don't feel Anthony's family's pain, but if I were in that same situation, I would put a tribute out for the family member that I lost. Anthony had a great cousin, Jose. Anthony is right in heaven looking down and feeling grateful for all those that support him.

PD. Te vere pronto campeón
[Ed. - To my dear cousin: Brother, you were a marvellous being, full of happiness which, with your pranks and your smile, filled us with pleasant moments. You were proud and worthy of admiration, a valiant hero who, without vacillating, gave your life for the service of others. We'll always remember you.]

Post your memorial thoughts:
Share your feelings and memories of grief and
sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories. If you knew this
person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with
us something about his/her life:
- what kind of person he/she was,
- what nice points you remember about him/her,
- what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
- what you two perhaps did together,
- what he/she meant to you,
- or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging
for other people.
This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.
Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner.
