my dearest uncle/godfather,
soon it will be 10 years since my world came crashing down on me. and yet sometimes it still feels like it was yesterday. I miss you tio more than words can possible say you were the dad I dreamed of having and you didnt mind sharing. you said you had 5 daughters including me and my sister and my three cousin. I have now gone to all of there sweet sixteens and seen almost all of them off to college. and yet something huge is missing because your not there. I want to go back to new york soon so I can see the museum and feel closer to you once more.

Even though I was young, I still remember all the time we had together, especially the time we went to Jefferson pool when we had that cookout. I remember that day and how funny you were and how great of a father you were to your kid, even though you're not my uncle, you and Grissel have been in our lives for a long time, and that's why I consider you my uncle and love you, Benito.

It's been 7 1/2 years since we lost you. Although nothing can ever replace the emptiness we feel, it is very comforting to see that until this day you are not only remembered by your close family and friends but also by those who crossed paths with you and those who remember that horrific way in which we lost you. We love and miss you every single day that you are not here. Know that you live on thru our children, who are your triplets in looks and character, and thru my love for you that will last always and forever.

I never really knew you, but, still, my prayers and my heart will always go out to you. You must've been a great friend, and a great person overall. And I just feel delighted to have added another flower to this page. God bless you.

Benito, you were a classmate of mine when we attended Julia Richman High School. We had a few classes together, and you made them fun. I will always remember how you made us laugh. We truly lost one of the great ones. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family.

For some reason I clicked on the name. I don't see any flowers, so I would like to leave one and take a minute to think of Benito and pray for him.

In Memory
What was it you had said?
Why did you have to go?
Each simple little memory
Now passes by so slow.
I am stuck in the yesterday
Not wanting to accept
The horrid truth that you are gone
Your life taken without threat
This morning you awoke
To face a brand new day
But a cold-hearted terrorist
Took that gift away
Though the grave cry for the lost
In the settling of the dust
They failed to shake our foundation
For in God we put our trust.

Post your memorial thoughts:
Share your feelings and memories of grief and
sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories. If you knew this
person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with
us something about his/her life:
- what kind of person he/she was,
- what nice points you remember about him/her,
- what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
- what you two perhaps did together,
- what he/she meant to you,
- or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging
for other people.
This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.
Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner. We are maintaining this site with our own money and time. We try to keep the advertisements to a minimum and we try to make them as unobtrusive as possible. The revenue goes back to maintaining this site.
Thank you for your understanding in these matters.
