You will never be forgotten, you are a very brave person

I had the pleasure of flying several trips with Betty as I too was based in Boston during 1991. Whenever I boarded a flight and saw that I would be working with Betty, I knew it would be a fun and pleasurable trip. She was the nicest, most pleasant girl. We both hated turbulence on our flights and would put each other at ease. I will never ever forget her.

I cried listening to the tape, and I felt the fear that you did not feel. Thank you. WE WILL NEVER FORGET! YOU DIED BECAUSE FREEDOM IS SOMETHING THAT COST MUCH TO A FEW, SO OTHERS CAN LIVE, AND WE WILL NEVER, EVER FORGET IT!

Betty was a true hero. How she kept so calm is amazing. The first call from flight 11 was made by her... it was terrifying. Gut renching.

I cried when I heard ur voice over the website for 9/11. After 10 years its the first for me to know all the tragedy that has been.I was 21 when it happens I was in Phils working and innocently not knowing the terrible effects of the awful event. Lack of TV and not in touch over the net.Now I come to realize how many people were in tragic moments that day.So awful, and I strongly against with those responsible for this.I dont hate Muslims, But I hate those abusing the word Islam as a way of their bravey to end ones precious life.So shame on them!

I didn't even know Betty Ong personally, but let me tell you I love her, a very very brave woman for remaining so calm knowing that she was going to die soon like that. Betty, I respect you and I hope that you are resting peacefully and safe in heaven.

Betty,

You are a heroine, a true heroine, which is undoubted. You were selfless in your last moments in this world. I hope you have found peace — you deserve it.

Hey, Betty,

I am just so devastated reliving your fear as I am listening to the call you made. Knowing you are about to die and remaining calm is truly heroic of you. 9-11 is the most evil act that has been committed by men. "Why," I ask myself, but it's too late for an answer. You are always in my memory.

Dear Betty,

You're my role model. When everything stands in my way, I remember you, and everything comes back the way it is. I really love you! I hope that you are resting in peace.

With all my LOVE,
Amanda

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!

Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner.
