This message goes to Brian and all who loved him:
My heart broke into a million pieces on Sept 11th. I was online one day shortly after the attack and became friends with one of Brian's family members. We were trying so hard to locate him, hoping and praying with every number dialed and key punched that soon it would be good news. But only bad news came. I never had the opportunity ever to meet Brian. But from what his family member has told me, he sounded like a very wonderful man.
Even though it has been eight years, my heart still aches for all. My prayers are always with you. Brian may be gone from your sight, but he is one of many who have touched the heart of a great nation, even though we may cry. Always remember he is watching over all that he loves.
God bless you all, and may god always guide you.
R.I.P., Mr. Brian Nunez.
Your friend for life,
Marggie Ayers

Bri,
I think about you often... especially today. I've shared stories about the things we'd do all the time and they still make me smile. Your memory lives on in my heart, just like it does in all the hearts you've touched. We miss you! Keep smiling down on us!
Love ya, Melissa :-)

Dear Family, I find myself with head bowed down as I have missed Brian and our family due to division of circumstances beyond my control. My memories of Brian, one of my second cousins are very fond as I was a younger 1st cousin to his Mother Joann. I felt very close to Brian. He and his older brother Eric would always be very entertaining when our families congregated for holidays at our Grandmother's home in Boro Park in Brooklyn. I can remember one day while visiting my grandmother with my parents Pat and Jean Tomasulo, while inside conversing with my family, Eric with little brother Brian in hand came running into the house exclaiming! "Uncle Patty! We washed your car!" They where so proud of their accomplishment! I miss your silliness and your kind hearted smiles. Please rest in peace, Brian and Please be waiting for me with, Grandma Scalogna, Jean Tomasulo (Mom) Uncle Paulie Scalogna, and all the family we have lost in such a short time. Love Cousin Robert

You meant the world to me and inspired me in so many ways. I can never say goodbye, but I know I'll see you soon. Thank you for always understanding me and making me feel like someone when no one else cared. I love you. You were my cousin, my brother, and my best friend.... See you soon!

After losing another friend today, you popped into my head, and it's not like you can pick up a phone and chat with us. So this is my only way of getting what was in my head out to you. So here it goes ... we miss you. I hope all is well in heaven. And it truly hurts when we loose a friend. And it's been a while now since you are gone, but you are never forgotten, and always a happy reminder of the memories we had when we were younger. xxxxoooo

Brian,
I did not know you personally, but from your mother and her memories I believe I did get to know you a little. It was my proud pleasure to serve you and my family. I will never forget you or your family. You will live in my heart and prayers forever.

Brian was an amazing guy. I love him very much. I never had the chance to say goodbye, and I wish I could have just hung on to him a little longer. I can't really express the way I feel, but I can tell you I pray for him every day, and me and my family will never forget him. I wrote on his other sites too. I also visit them as mush as possible, just so I can have a little time for him. Brian, we miss you every day, and we will never forget you! I love you, and you will always be in my heart.

WOW! I can't believe that I didn't know this site even existed! So often I have thought of Brian and his family and wondered how I would be able to reach out and let them know that I still think of them all the time. For a while I had Neal's email and I would see Kim and the kids in her grandpa's nursing home in NJ, but since I moved away and my grandmother passed away, I have lost touch. Then tonight at work in a hospital in Texas, my co-workers and I were discussing the events of 9/11 and asked about Brian and it just struck me to 'google' his name ... and here I am. There are so many great memories of Bri that still make me smile to this day, too many to even list. Please if any of his family checks this site, please contact me by email whenever you'd like.... LnDnrs@aol.com. My love is with you, Melissa :-)

I met Brian a short time before 9-11. I was out to lunch at a deli and we had a short conversation. That same day after work, we surprisingly met again. It turned out that we both worked at the World Trade Center and both lived on Staten Island. We were taking the same train to get to the Ferry. During our journey home, we talked the entire time. We then found out that we both had the same last name. I remember us talking about the possibility of being related somewhere down the line. We talked about his job, and I remember how easy and enjoyable the conversation was. He was such a nice and friendly person.
The day of 9-11, I immediately thought about him since I knew where he worked. My heart sank. Even though I only knew Brian for a very short time, I will never forget him.

Post your memorial thoughts:
Share your feelings and memories of grief and
sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories. If you knew this
person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with
us something about his/her life:
- what kind of person he/she was,
- what nice points you remember about him/her,
- what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
- what you two perhaps did together,
- what he/she meant to you,
- or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging
for other people.
This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.
Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner.
