Brian was a great friend and co-worker. He is missed every day. God bless you and your family, Brian!

I have just stumbled upon this site, and I am overwhelmed but not surprised at all of the notes for my brother Brian. It has been almost nine years, and yet it still hurts as if it happened yesterday. Brian is sorely missed by our family, and we will never be the same. How lucky we all are to have known him. Spirit in the sky and salt of the earth.

I am so sorry this terrible tragedy had to happen to Brian and his family. R.I.P., Brian.

God Bless the McAleese family. Brian it's been 8 years since you made the ultimate sacrifice for us. God Bless you and you will never be forgotten. 9-11 Never Forget

To the McAleese Family,
I carried a picture of Brian in 05 while stationed in the Middle East. While I didn't know him well, I "played" for the 80 FB team, I thought very highly of him. It came as no surprise that he did so much for his community and sacrificed all eventually. I carry his pic in a military Bible every time I deploy and will continue to do so in his memory! May G-d rest his soul and comfort yours!

I will always think of Brian for many years, as lots of my family members are firefighters, and as his name is so close to ours, it stands out for me like the first time I read it. God bless his family.

May your family never forget heroes are born and never made. And take pride in his work—after all, his name is McAleese. A protector of life, it's in his nature, and he did what was expected of his name and did it well. I hope that whoever reads this may take comfort.

Brian, Gail, and I stop and leave flowers at your boardwalk bench every 9-11. You will never be forgotten.

Our hero and our friend, Brian was a man of kindness and courage. He spoke to me when others wouldn't. His mom is so amazing! She raised wonderful children, children who became heroes. I think of Brian and John more than I should cause it hurts so bad. But who could ever forget Brian and John? I will never forget!

I was very close to Brian growing up in Baldwin.... We spent a lot of time together, and I have some very special memories.... We lost touch once he married; however, I am so proud to have known him and to have been a part of his life.... He had a true zest for life, and I think of Brian and his family often....

I hadn't seen Brian in years and was so very sad to hear of his passing. I am now back in Baldwin and pass his house all the time, and when I do I say a prayer for his family. It has become a ritual for me.

Brian, you are so missed by your friends and family, it shows on your corner all the time. Rest in peace, my friend, rest in peace. You are Baldwin's Hero!

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!

9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner.
