Brian,

Brian and your little brother Cake, rest in peace, boys. You are sorely missed by many.

I never met Brian, but my Husband Chris vander Linde grew up with him in New City NY. I heard so many wonderful stories about Brian and the Novotny family that it feels like I knew him. I know that Brian touched Chris' and the vanderLinde family's hearts in so many ways. We all miss him so much.

Chris ran into Brian about a year before he died in the City and chatted for a while. They made plans to play golf. Unfortunately that day never came. Chris was so sad to find out what had happened to Brian that words could not describe what he was going through. He misses Brian a lot. Still to this day he will tell me stories about Brian and the Novotny family.

He was blessed the day he was born. God had plans for him. He is now home. God bless the Novotny family. Keep your faith in Jesus.

Chris and I had a son 4 years ago December 19th. My due date was December 28th. My Husband and I named our son Christopher Brian, in memory of Brian Christopher and our other little angel Christopher Michael (December 29th 1995-January 6 1996). They may be gone, but never forgotten.

I am really impressed that someone made such an impact in his life where his friends and relatives have established this memorial to him. May God be with you all.

I knew Brian through my nephew Timmy Albrecht.  We had a great time fishing for blue shark together one Fourth of July, several years ago.  My dad, Walter Doty, who recently passed away, placed a memorial to Brian at his Summertree Golf Course in New Port Richey, Florida.

More than 4 years now, and still think of Brian often.  The Novotnys are all in my thoughts.

Brian visited me and my family at my home here in Limavady, Co. Derry, Ireland. He played snooker here. I remember him as a truly nice fellow and I am pleased to have met him. He invited me to visit him in USA. His grandfather, Hugh, is my first cousin.

I am Brian's cousin and Brian is most definately in Heaven! He was a wonderful soul and a wonderful person who is greatly missed. His siblings and parents had the honor of bringing him home and burrying his body. Grian is an angel that looks over us all!

I had an email address when Brian was first missing. They had not confirmed his death yet. I am just finding out that the address in my yahoo email account is connected to this. "briancomehome@yahoo.com". Someone was looking for him. I did not know him, but it touches my heart deeply to find that he didn't come home to that person searching, but he is at home in Heaven. Please email me @ "sugar6456@yahoo.com.

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!

9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner. We are maintaining this site with our own money and time. We try to keep the advertisements to a minimum and we try to make them as unobtrusive as possible. The revenue goes back to maintaining this site.
