Just stopping by to say you are thought of today. I know your friends and family miss you very much. God Bless my Capricorn friend.

Thinking about my dear friend Dorothy and her beloved son Brooke on this day. I will never forget.

Having raised you for at least half the years you had on Earth, I have memories that could never be taken away. I got to see you blossom into manhood and have the privilege of your sense of humor and your competitive nature. You knew where home was, and so did we. I know your childhood was not the easiest, but I think we made up for it in later life. Just want you to know that no one who could miss you more or love you more....

Your step-mom and your dad!

Most living organisms are able to reproduce, but it's an especially hard loss when a parental figure (such as a step mom) who sits up all night with a child when they are sick, who wipes away tears when they are hurt, who goes up to open school week every year, cooks dinner, does laundry, loves the child more than words can say, and are kind of left on a back burner, and looks for nothing but a little bit of love, and hopes for all good for that child, can say that their murder cuts like a knife, a heartache which can never go away....

Brooke was my second loss; his brother Peter went first. If I thought the first time was hard, the second time was even harder, very close to insurmountable. I just discovered this page, and that is the reason I had not written here sooner.

We all think our loss is the hardest to bear, but until you have lost two children you have given birth to, no one can even begin to imagine how very hard it is. We think we can, but it is not even close to the pain and desolation a birth parent feels in that situation...

I love you guys, miss you guys, and will be in N.Y. soon to visit the site and leave a letter and the best picture you ever took!

Luv, hugz, and kisses,
"Yo" Momma

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!

9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner. We are maintaining this site with our own money and time. We try to keep the advertisements to a minimum and we try to make them as unobtrusive as possible. The revenue goes back to maintaining this site.

Thank you for your understanding in these matters.
