she was a wonderful woman and will be missed. my report on her and the facts on her death brought tears to my eyes by how many people who loved her and how her death put a hole in her heart.

Candace,

Although I did not know you for a longtime, you have had a tremendous impact on me. It was a honor to work with you at Northeastern and share in your successes as a CBA student. I will always remember your smile and genuine enthusiasm about life. Your love of life and everyday things serve as a reminder to me how precious life is. I will never forget the last time I saw you and you made a special point to come over and say hello and tell me about your upcoming trip to LA and new apartment.  You are with the angels now and wish you peace. Take care candylee

As a Marine, Candace, I wanted to say you're missed every day so much, even though we will never again be able to see you because of the actions of that dark day.

So tragic, so sad.... how this ever happened, I will never comprehend such evil.... what you must have gone through, one can only imagine. Rest in peace.

Hey, Candace,

I am finally coming home to Danbury on a leisurely trip with my boyfriend Ryan to meet my family. I am so excited to finally see your tree at Immaculate, show my boyfriend our school, and bring you some flowers. I never got the chance to do that all these years, since I was never in town.... I am also finally ready to visit Ground Zero and show Ryan my high-school classmate who was incredibly brave that day, and who is among the other angels watch watch over and protect us now. God bless you, and you're always in my thoughts and prayers.... I will see you in May. Don't ever let your light stop shining upon us.

I didn't know you, but I know there were people who did know you and loved you, and now they miss you. What happened to you was so tragic, and I'm so sorry! I watched the news that morning with my mom and saw the tower in a blaze by a plane. I would later learn you were on it. What you must have gone through, I can only imagine. Once again, I'm so sorry this happened to you.

Candace,

I'm so sorry that you were taken at such a young age. There was so much you could have accomplished in life. God bless you and your family.

Hey Candace,
It's been way to long, 8 years of not being able to hear your laugh, or see your brightening smile. way you could always brighten someone's mood so much with just a smirk :-P
I look up at the sky and wonder every day if you are watching over u with a smile on your face. It's not the same without u, constantly waiting to hear your voice one last time, I miss you, we all do @};-----

I just read Candace's story in Friedman's book "The World is Flat." It was such a touching story that I wanted to learn more. She sounded like an amazing woman, and I will always carry her story with me and teach it to my children.

Words can't explain how I feel for someone I've never known. But I know I would have the same feelings as I do now if I did know Candice. I can only pray that she's in the good hands of the Lord, that she may rest in peace, and that God may watch over her family. I know it means nothing now, but I never knew how much my country and the people in it meant to me until someone attacked it. Rest in peace, Candice. God bless you and your family.

I had the pleasure of knowing Candace her entire life. She was beautiful in so many ways. Her smile would light up a room, and as a little girl, she was always on the go. I think of you often, Candace, and your mom talks of you all the time. Please help me watch over your mom, Candace, in her time of need. Luv U.

I saw your brother speak today, and your mother holding your picture and being from Newtown I just wanted to let you and your family know that even though we never knew each other, you are in our thoughts often, as neighbors.

Praying for you all... Morgan continues to think of Corey, a friend of hers from NECDS even to this day.

Tomorrow I will bring you your yellow rose. Keep watching over us. Never will we forget. :-)

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
