Dear family of Carlos Morales,
I am from Minnesota and did not know Carlos. Many years ago at a local peace event each participant was given a card that read, "I will pray and work for peace in the name of this 9/11 victim:" The name on my card was Carlos Morales. This card has been posted in my kitchen ever since. Please know that I have been thinking and praying for Carlos and his family.

Carlos Morales was a great classmate and friend in 8th grade at John D. Wells. I remember 8th grade being a very fun year because of Carlos’ sense of humor, He would always make the whole class laugh so hard. We shared good friends and unforgettable times. I will miss you forever Bro.
I will not forget you. I have carved you on the palm of my hand - Isaiah 49:15

Chuckie,
God bless you brother, many years have gone by since we last talked, 28 to be exact. I have been in the Navy for over 15 years and I was out to sea on 9-11-01. The whole situation devastated me then, and even more when I found out around 6 months ago that an old friend of mine from JHS 50 "Chuckie" was one of the many victims we lost that day. I wish that I would had kept in touch with you since I left JHS 50 back in '83, I'm sure we would have been the same jokers that we were when we were teenagers. One thing is for sure, you will always be in my prayers and a constant reminder of why I serve in the Navy. I send my condolences to your family and I want them to know that they can count on me for anything that I can help them with.

Chuckie was my classmate in JHS 50. Although we did not talk much, I do remember his personality clear as day. He had a funny and wacky sense of humor that reminded me of John Travolta in "Grease." After graduation in 1987, we did not cross paths, but I did get updates on classmates from a mutual friend after I moved away.
A few days before your passing, that same friend who kept me updated saw you, and when you spoke she told me that you said that you were okay. She also called me a few days later to tell me that had changed. Stunned, we both said a prayer for you and asked God to take you into his arms. I guess I just wanted to let you know that, as time has passed, we have not forgotten you and never will. Rest in peace.

Dearest Chuckie, 9 years have past and it still hurts like the 1st day. Waiting for a call saying that you were okay. Hoping that you would walk in the door and make us smile. You are so missed and loved by many. Today I took Julyen, your god-son, to visit you and we shared some tears. I know that you watch over him and that makes me smile. God Bless you Chuckie. R.I.P. dear friend.
Love You Always, Gabby

Carlos it has been so difficult for me to finally put my thoughts on your memorial page, I believe I was in denial today is May 14, 2010 and I have visited this page every so often for the past 9 years, You were my sunshine when I would go into work sad and blue and no matter how down I was you would always bring smiles and laughter to my face, you were something else. I remember when you tried to hook me up with one of your friends, but hey he was not my type, I always wondered if this was a joke, knowing how you were, chuckie, I miss you much, descanse en paz. evelyn

It's been over 8 years since we've lost you, Chuckie, and I want you to know that we still miss you sooooo much. You were a great person, and the good life you lived will always be remembered and cherished! Even though I like the Yankees better, you were a TRUE Mets fan! Love you, bro!

Post your memorial thoughts:
Share your feelings and memories of grief and
sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories. If you knew this
person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with
us something about his/her life:
- what kind of person he/she was,
- what nice points you remember about him/her,
- what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
- what you two perhaps did together,
- what he/she meant to you,
- or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging
for other people.
This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.
Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
