I didn't really know Carlos R. Lillo personally, but in a way I wish I did. My mom had a heart attack and I called 911 and he was the paramedic that responded and saved her life. I was really scared that day thinking I was going to lose her, but he calmed me in a way that made me realize everything was going to be ok. After he saved her life I was really eternally grateful to him. To this day 9 yrs. later after that tragic day I still remember and am very grateful to him. So I say thank you Carlos for saving my mom's life. You are a hero not because of 9-11, but because of what you did for my mom I will always believe God needed an Angel to save someone else and that is why you will live among the heroes in the heavens! God bless you and your family always!

I will always remember you, Carlos. The times we shared together in LICHS were great. You were such a sincere and beautiful person inside and out. I wish I could have seen you once more.
Love,
Carina

Carlos was my baby brother. We were four; now we are 3. I miss him so much every day of my life, but he is my angel that gives me energy to keep living. He was such a sweet boy, always helping anyone. He was always happy, helpful, and kind. I miss him, but I will never forget that day of Sep 11 my brother left without saying good-bye. I love you, brother.

I did not know Carlos personally, however I knew the man that was his partner, his friend and his buddy. It has taken me a while to write anything about that day. My heart is heavy and my pillow wet with tears.
You are a brave soul, Carlos. You are a hero in the eyes of many. May the angels in heaven look upon you always. Not a day goes by that you are not thought of, as are all of the heros on that horrific day. You will always be in my heart and your family will be in my prayers every day.
God Bless You, Carlos.

Post your memorial thoughts:
Share your feelings and memories of grief and
sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories. If you knew this
person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with
us something about his/her life:
- what kind of person he/she was,
- what nice points you remember about him/her,
- what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
- what you two perhaps did together,
- what he/she meant to you,
- or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging
for other people.
This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.
Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner.
