We have never met, but I know about you through my mom, Petra, who is your aunt from your father's side. You are my cousin, and I wish I had known you. We never knew where you moved to. I cried the day your mom told my mom about the news. I grew up in Brooklyn, New York, and little did we know that you were living in New Jersey. My sincere sorrow goes to your family. We would have loved to have known you.
Your cousin,
Myriam, also known as Yiya

I think of you almost every day, and how I wish we had kept in touch! We met 30 years ago, and I liked you as a good friend: You were beautiful and fun. I became your son's godmother. Whenever we saw each other, we would always say, "Let's get together. Give me a call." But we never did. How I regret that we didn't stay in touch. You were a good mother, friend, and daughter. My prayers are with you all the time, and I hope we meet again.

So sorry that we lost you in such a tragic way. My respects to the family. Although we shared the same name, we never met. We were around the same location on 9/11/01, but we never met. May God have you in his arms.
Sincerely,
Carmen L. Rodriguez

I think back at the day it all happened and still can't get the images out of my head. I think of all the innocent people who lost their lives just going to work that dreadful morning of 9/11, just like any other day. We can not take for granted the life we have now because we never know when our time will come. Bless the families who have lost loved ones on this tragic day, for I know I have. Carmen Milagros Rodriguez, R.I.P.

I will always think of 9/11 as a day we lost someone who was so dear to me and my family. God has a beautiful angel, and we all wish we had more time with her, especially her grandkids. We look up and say, "You are in a better place." R.I.P. sweet angel, and we will all meet again.

Post your memorial thoughts:
Share your feelings and memories of grief and
sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories. If you knew this
person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with
us something about his/her life:
- what kind of person he/she was,
- what nice points you remember about him/her,
- what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
- what you two perhaps did together,
- what he/she meant to you,
- or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging
for other people.
This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.
Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner.
