To Cathy and her Family,
At church yesterday we had the names of all 9/11 losses placed, one each pew. Your name was in my seat. We pray for you and your family and hope that the passing years will bring some sense of peace and reconciliation. We know personally of the hardship of such loss and share your grief.
Our thoughts are with all the Loguidice family

My tears today are for you. Nothing will bring you back, but I hope this day brings some peace to your Mom, Lucy, Roseanne and Michael, in the midst of their sorrow. I still think about you often and little Caty calls you Aunt Cathy in heaven. What was to be your wedding ring, has been turned into earrings for her to wear when she is older. We all miss you, but I know you are in heaven. Love, your almost mother-in-law, Barbara

I didn't know you personally, but through your grandmother and Aunt Mariann, I feel that I do. I know Grandma Lucy has joined you now, and it might be just a little less lonely in heaven. I know she has missed you so very much these years. You are kept alive by the people who love you and remember you. May God continue to bless you and may others continue to remember the blessing of having you in their lives.

I didn't know Cathy, but I saw her grave in St. Charles Cemetery while visiting my parents' graves and saw the September 11th date.

Cathy was the daughter of my mother's cousin and being the typical Italian family everyone who is related is immediate family. I think of you often and pray fervently for your dad. May being in the presence of God be so glorious for you and may He provide comfort to all those left behind in your family and too many thousands
of others. With love Vinny

I still think of you, Cathy, and will always hold a place in my heart for you for all the wonderful things you have done.

It's a very long story, but my small connection to Catherine has very much changed me. Her story has wrapped itself around my heart, and I feel the tragic loss of this warm and compassionate young woman every day. The world lost somebody really special.

She was a wonderful girl. She was going to be my daughter-in-law that October 19th. Instead we lost a very important person in our lives. She loved animals: She had 4 cats, and I took Charlie after she was gone. How many girls take their future mother-in-law shopping for a bridal gown? My granddaughter is named after Cathy, but we call her Caty because the name "Cathy" will always belong to Cathy. It's been almost 8 years, and I still have tears to shed. I hope that her Mom and family are doing well.

Cathy, I am honored and proud to have been a part of your life growing up in CANARSIE, Brooklyn, NY. I miss you and Love you always. I will never forget the good times we had as kids growing up and hanging out in Kings Plaza and listening to LED ZEPPLIN. You supported me while I was serving in the GULF WAR with your letters and the Most beautiful picture of you that kept my spirits up.

GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS, Your Friend, NEIL.

Each year on the week of Sept. 11th, at Memorial Park here in Odessa, Texas, they fly a flag for every victim of the 9-11-01 attacks. It's a very moving and sobering sight. This year my husband and I bought flags to give to our family and friends for Christmas. Catherine's flag was one that we got. I just wanted her family to know how honored we are to have it and that we will fly it with pride. All of the victims and their families are in our thoughts.

Sincerely,
Rob and Nickie Kelly

Hey Cathy! I think of you so often! I still live in PA - every time I pass the Old King Cole ice cream stand I remember our weekend at Mary's aunt's house- I still have the pic of the three of us eating ice cream. I can't believe that so many of you are gone, and think of all the years we worked together. I will always remember you!

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!

9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner. We are maintaining this site with our own money and time. We try to keep the advertisements to a minimum and we try to make them as unobtrusive as possible. The revenue goes back to maintaining this site.

Thank you for your understanding in these matters.
