It must have been awful for you on 9-11, knowing there was nothing you could do to save the flight, and my heart goes out to you and to your family. God bless you and keep you.

I don't know this man, but what he did, and what the others did, will be with me for my entire life. This is the reason I'm joining the army.

Chic:

You must have been a very loved man, from all the messages that are posted here. It breaks my heart in a thousand pieces that you and the thousands of others lost their lives on that sad day.

Dear cousin Chic,

6 years later, and you are still in our hearts strong. Your father always told me what a wonderful, caring man you were. Now after this tragic 9/11 that stole your life, and many innocent other's lives, I hear more wonderful things about you that I was never aware of. You make our family so proud! I hope you are with family today in our heavens above, especially your beautiful daughter, Wendy.

We love you!
Cousin Sue in Minnesota

I feel I know Chic through his brother Brad and his sister Debra whom I have met though our memorial being built to honor the unsung heroes of 9/11 the flight crews. We hope to complete the project and dedicate it on 9/11/2007 it will set in the flight path to the North approach of Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. The memorial will be viewable from aircraft entering or leaving the north approach. It honors all 33 members who perished on 9/11/2001 as well as those who continued to fly in their memory and those who choose the profession in the years to come. Dean Thompson, President, 9/11 Flight Crew Memorial Foundation.

I know he must have been a great man because his wife was a special person. This is a day we will never forget. My thoughts and prayers will always be with his family and friends.

I was thinking of Chick today on this 5 year anniversery of 9/11. I met Chick in Coral Springs, Florida where he lived for awhile. He was such a nice guy and my family remembers him well also. When Hurricane Andrew came through my mom, who owns a nursing home in Miami, got hit really bad. Chick found out about that and when my mom had come to Coral Springs to see me and get supplies, Chick happened to be there and he so much wanted to help but didn't know what to do. He gave my mom $500.00 to go toward whatever she needed and volunteered his services for whatever she needed to build back. He was a caring and great guy, even to strangers!

My thoughts and prayers are with you and the others lost on this anniversary of the tragic events that occurred on 9/11/01. There is comfort though in knowing you are in a better place and able to see the face of God.

When I read back in December of 2001 that Capt. Burlingame's birthday was September 12, I suddenly had a special fondness for this pilot. I did not personally know anyone who died that day our country was attacked, but since I share the same birthday with him, and I am a former Navy man myself, I will always remember him.

We will not forget!

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!

This web site is affiliated with 24K Gold Music Shows - an oldies music showband performing in Central Florida. The members of the showband feel strongly that there were many heroes manifested during the onslaught of terror associated with 9-11, and present this site as a memorial to those whose lives were lost, and the loved ones they left behind.

24K Gold Music Shows perform primarily 50-60s Oldies, Elvis songs, DooWop, and older country music, as well as patriotic songs. All of the musicians, singers, dancers, and staff of the 24K Gold Music Shows extend their deepest sympathies to every one who lost loved ones on that terrible day.

24K Gold Music Shows performs an original song called "The Day America Cried", which is a 9-11 tribute song. In the live shows, they honor with the song not only the heroes of 9-11 but also those who are still alive: the police personnel, firefighters, emergency personnel, soldiers, and others who have served our country and kept us all safe.

The video below is a song you might like by 24K Gold Music shows, called Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy.
