It has been 10 years but you will always be in our thoughts and prayers

Chris,

I have thought of you often over the past nine years, and you always bring a smile to my face, just like you did at Villanova. You were a wonderful person who gave so much to everyone. When my sons are old enough, I will tell them about you and the manner in which you touched so many lives. May God bless you and your family.

Christopher M Dincuff was the kindest, friendliest, and most fun-loving person that I have ever met. It was an honor to be his friend. He was the type of person that you looked forward to seeing. I am a better person for knowing him. I miss you, brother, and I always will.

I just read what everyone else wrote already. This guy was a great person with a kind heart and helping hands. I was always an odd fellow; some might even say “crazy dink,” from day one in Belmar, NJ at the summer beach house, which was not mine, but he made me feel welcome! You know how when you walk up to a place where everyone knows each other except you, and it feels like all eyes are on you because you’re the crazy-looking beach nut.... Well, Chris put his hand out and introduced himself.  And at that point I felt like I would be accepted by his whole crew. After that summer I got into their beach house for a few+ years. It’s been more than 15 years since I first met him, and I still haven’t met a better person. Some days listening to the radio or my old rock CDs is even difficult. Billy Joel’s “Only the Good Die Young,” Ozzy’s “Killer of Giants” ... plus so many songs that he and Garth used to sing word-for-word at the beach house in Belmar. We miss you much and will try to be more like you every day. I now look more normal, and I have a wife and a stepson who know about you and how special you will always make people feel. He brought many people together who will now remain together for always. Children with his name, young and old trying to do better, South River students going on to college in his name. Hope I make it to heaven so we can hang out! My prayers and hopes for peaceful dreams for all your family and friends always!

Love,
Christian Miller, aka Joker, aka Candyman

Like all who knew you would agree, it is definitely your smile and joy that is missed. God bless you.

C-Moore,

We miss you, even those who did not talk to you frequently. You have not been forgotten and will never, ever be forgotten. We hope you know we think you often.

Johnny, Villanova U., 3rd Floor Corr Hall 87-88, Class of 92.

I was crushed to find out that Chris was a victim of the 9-11 catastrophe. As you all know, Chris always had a smile on his face. He was a fun guy to be around and never had a bad word for anyone--except for the Villanova basketball team's opponents. :-) That's how I remember him from our days together at Villanova: fun-loving and great to be around. We lived in the same residence hall during our freshman year, and he made my year a very memorable one. God bless you, Chris.

It's been 5 years already cousin.....I still can't believe you aren't with us anymore. Some days it's too hard to handle and others it's ok. If only I could have the chance to talk to you one last time! I know you are safe with God now and are watching over me! I just want you to know that I love you and miss you dearly!

PS...put in a good word that the Mets take it all this year! :-P

I miss you Dink. I can hardly believe you have been gone for 5 years, you were so full of life. It angers me that you were taken away from us so soon. The last email we shared you were so very excited for your wedding exactly one year away. You deserved a lifetime of happiness! You made everyone laugh, your sense of humor was like no one else I have ever known or will know. I think of you, Angie, Garth, Beth and your parents often, I pray for them.
I miss you!

I played b-ball on the same team as Chris in grade school an he was a great team leader. Anyone can tell you his smile was something that brought out the best in you, something positive. I'll never forget you bro and everytime I look at our championship trohpy I see that winning smile. We will always be champions.

God Blees You,

Erik Van Butts

I gradutate with Chris in 1988.  He lived around the corner from me.  I will always remember his smile, his winning and shining personality, the kind words, and always upbeat and rarely had a frown. I too, could not have known a better person.  My thoughts and prayers are with with his family, God Bless You All.

Chris was one of my husband's best friends in high school.  I had never known a better person.  He was sweet, kind, and never had a bad thing to say.  My thoughts and prayers continue to go out to his family and Angie.

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
