I was as so many others were blessed to work with Mike during his years at VeriFone here in Atlanta. We held a Memorial Concert here in Roswell at St Peter Chanel Catholic Church to honor the wonderful men and women that lost their lives on 9-11. I sat and thought of Mike and his great smile and wonderful gift connecting with people of all backgrounds, faiths and cultures. Yes as others have written, Mike was an incredible God filled man that loved others with a deep christian heart.
I jog in the Roswell Park and stop at the flag memorial in his honor and reflect on Mike and the legacy that he left behind for his family and friends.
Words cannot express the joy that Jesus Christ must feel having Michael in His Heavenly Choir of Angels.
God bless you Michael!

My madien name is Kelley Adams and I went to High School with Mike Gann. I remember Mike as a quite, good-lookig young man with a dynamic smile. I have cried most of today on the 10th anniversary of his death for him, his family, the lives and families of all affected by the 9/11 attacks. I am relieved to see that others remember him by his faith as so many others may not have been prepared. We shall meet again, dear one.

My husband and I knew Mike and his wife while attending the Vineyard Christian Fellowship together when our kids were just toddlers. We remember his love for the Lord and his passion for worship. Our thoughts and prayers are with those he has left behind, because we know he will not need them....he is already home.

I met Mike while we were summer missionaries in Gatlinburg, TN. He was in a singing group from Georgia. There were 21 of us living together in an old dorm at Camp Smokey. Even as a college student, Mike had a great love for the Lord and for music. He brought his guitar out each night, and we would all sit on the front porch and sing along with him. He had such a servant's heart. I am deeply saddened to learn of his death. However, I know he is busy leading a praise team in heaven.

My husband and I knew Mike when both our families were expecting a first child. We attended birthing classes together. His firstborn should have come first, and yet, ours came first. He met us at church, teasing us that it was not fair. He was always upbeat. When we heard he was killed in the 9-11 attack, we were very sad and started sharing memories of him that day. Our heart goes out to his family and friends.

I knew of Mike through his mother. We worked together on Pediatrics at Cobb Hospital. She was so proud of Mike and always had stories about him and how strong he was in his faith. I still think of the family 9 yrs later. My prayers are with all of you.

Mike was my husband's cousin. Just prior to his death he had reconnected with my husband (Allen). What I remember most about Mike is strong commitment to family and deep love for his children. He had a kind heart and a beautiful smile. He will always be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with his family on this and every day.

This is a little late. I am Mike's youngest daughter, Katie. I'm glad to find all of these websites about my dad. I never really knew him all too well because I was only 5 years old when it all happened. It's amazing to see how much everyone loved him. Thank you, everyone.

I went to Georgia Tech with Mike Gann. I remember his big smile and his strong religious faith. I only found out about his death today in fact, reading our alumni magazine. My prayers go out to his family.

My neighbor, Mike Gann and my favorite IBMer Zandra Cooper and their families are in my thoughts and prayers today.
One never quite heals from such devastation. I will always remember 9/11/2001.

I attended Austin Elementary with Mr. Gann's older daughter and son. In August 2001, we unexpectedly met up with his son and younger daughter on a plane flying back from the beach. We chatted for awhile, and when we got off, there he was. His daughter ran to him and jumped in his arms. He then spent the rest of the time in the airport carrying her around on his shoulders. That's the memory I'll always have of him.

Post your memorial thoughts:
Share your feelings and memories of grief and
sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories. If you knew this
person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with
us something about his/her life:
- what kind of person he/she was,
- what nice points you remember about him/her,
- what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
- what you two perhaps did together,
- what he/she meant to you,
- or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging
for other people.
This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.
Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
