Clyde,

I will always remember you and the impact that you had on my development as a ball player. You are missed and forever loved. Thanks for all you have done.

Still missing you my college friend. I will remember you always. Rest in Peace, your friend Yolanda (the one you nicknamed affectionately, "SECRET")

Although I didn't know Clyde, I honor him on September 11th of every year at the minimum. On the first anniversary of this tragic event, a local radio station, here in San Diego held a tribute to those lost on this day. Those who participated were given the opportunity to ring a miniature version of the liberty bell. We rang the bell in honor of each person lost. When we got up to the stage to ring the bell we were given a badge of sorts with the name and age of the person lost, and at which site they were lost. Then we stepped up to the bell, spoke that information to the crowd gathered there and rang the bell in their honor. I still have that "badge," and I pull it out often. Today I sit in silence and think of Clyde and wish for him and his family peace and comfort on this day and always!

I'll always remember Clyde from SUNY Albany, especially during the August 2001 EOP reunion. Clyde had one of the warmest smiles imaginable, a great laugh, and a caring personality. His spirit will remain throughout all SUNY ALBANY EOP reunions.

I knew Clyde for a short time and he touched me unlike any soul has coming from someone new. I will forever remember him through sports and as a overall warm and funny guy. I still have the game shorts he gave me one week before the attacks and those shorts will remain with me just as he will. In God's hands you are, I miss you!

Clyde, I miss you. You joked about my voice and made fun of me, but I knew you were joking--- and my shoes, I do not wear them anymore, you did not like them, say they were ugly. You were such a great guy, I know you are in heaven making everybody laugh. No one make us laugh as you did.

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!

9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner. We are maintaining this site with our own money and time. We try to keep the advertisements to a minimum and we try to make them as unobtrusive as possible. The revenue goes back to maintaining this site.

Thank you for your understanding in these matters.
