My prayers have always remembered Coleen, even if we never metposted or related, she was, as all of them were, in our prayers.

I'm orginally from Philadelphia, Pa. with other relatives living in the New Haven Ct. area, who also spell the name both ways, (Deloughery and DeLoughery), where my Father was born and grew up. I presently live in a small town in Pa., although I did not know Colleen or any others that were murdered that day by those cold blooded thugs, I often think of those defenseless people who left us so suddenly on that fateful day, and pray for those left behind to bear the burden of their loss. We may be related in some distant way, or not, but the name of Deloughery and DeLoughery is not a common one throughout the U.S., which orginates in Ireland. I also have a Daughter named Colleen, spelled the same way which struck at the center of my heart the first time I learned of Colleen Ann's passing. God Bless her, the Family and God Bless the United States of America. 9/11/2006.

Hello, I had emailed you right after Colleen passed. I was new to using a computer, the first thing I did with it was google DeLoughery. At that time I learned of Colleen's passing. I really did not expect to see a person that looks so much like me. I feel terrible for her family,I guess I am so stupid I thought we were the only DeLoughery's. I am still terrible at computers, but I was shocked to see there is that many DeLoughery's out there. When I was young we would go on vacation, the first thing I would do is look in the white pages for any DeLoughery's. Anyway, my Dad was the best, and you're right, we don't really know how many are out there. By the way, my mother's name was Jean.

I MISS YOU VERY MUCH.  YOU WERE A GREAT FRIEND & I AM SO GLAD THAT WE WERE ABLE TO WORK TOGETHER FOR A FEW YEARS @ AON.  I THINK OF YOU EVERY DAY & WEAR A MERCY BAND WITH YOUR NAME ON IT TO REMIND ME OF YOU.

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!

9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner. We are maintaining this site with our own money and time. We try to keep the advertisements to a minimum and we try to make them as unobtrusive as possible. The revenue goes back to maintaining this site.

Thank you for your understanding in these matters.
