Hi. Just wanted you to know that the family of Daniel Lee and his wife Kelli and his little girls are in my prayers always and that he is not forgotten by me. And anytime I hear someone mention 9-11, I tell them I knew a man who was on that plane, and then I tell the story of how I met him and his wife. May God bless you all.

Although I never knew you in person, your interest in rock music as well as your personality altogether will make you a great and wonderful friend to know in heaven and even right now in spirit. R.I.P., Daniel John. You are not forgotten!

Dear Danny,

Hey, bro, what's happenin'? Always wonder what we would be doing if you had not passed away. Miss you every day. You were and always will be my hero.

I still think of Danny often. He was on the Yanni tour with me. I'm still shocked, and grieved, to think such a horrendous thing could happen. I wish his wife and kids well.

I had the privilege of touring with Danny and the extra special treat of playing music with him, too. We got together a couple of times on tour breaks in 2001 in a rehearsal studio in the valley prior to 9/11. He was a great drummer, a great set carpenter, and a wonderful guy all around ... a friend to all who knew him. He was taken from us much too soon and is sorely missed.

I have been Dan and Kellie's friend since they were dating. I was the maid of honor in their wedding. We spent a lot of time together. Dan always made me laugh. He was such a happy guy, full of life, always joking around, a loving and caring father and husband. He was a friend who always listened, and he was so popular. Everyone loved Dan. He was such an easy-going, cool guy. I still see Kellie and the beautiful kids. Dan, I will miss you forever.

I met Daniel Lee and his wife Kelli before they started having kids, and they were just recently married. I remember them telling me of their large phone bill 'cause Daniel was always calling Kelli when he was on tour. My thought was how fortunate she was to find such a loving, caring man. And then when they had their first child, our mutual friend told me how excited Daniel was and couldn't wait. He was a very loving, hard-working husband and father. He was very devoted to his wife and family. I keep the families affected by this in my prayers always.

Although I did not know Danny, my husband worked with him and watched as he left the bus to walk into Logan Airport. The two of them had talked at great about the excitement of the impending birth of his daughter and our son. It is a tragedy that such a loving husband, father and good person was taken from a life that was all too short.

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
