I did not personally know Daniel, but I was given his name on a wristband at school to pray for his family, friends, and loved ones that he left behind ten years ago. After reading the comments that have already been posted, I am sure that he was a loving, kind man and is missed by many. I am keeping you all in my prayers.

Danny was my best friend in College. We talked about everything. On this the ten anniversary (I can not believe it has been that long), I just wanted to say that I still miss you and think about you all the time.

The truth is out there.

I did not know Danny, but was given his name in a 9-11 remembrance at church. I wear his name on a wristband that the church provided. All victims of 9-11 had their names on a wristband and were given to church members for remembrance and prayers.
Danny's family, friends and loved ones... you are in my prayers and thoughts. Please know there is someone that is thinking of your son, brother, or friend 9 years after he was taken from you- I may not have known him, but my heart aches all the same for your loss.

Thinking of you always, cuz, and just saying, "Hi! Miss you!"

Dear Danny,

I can't get over how time passes so quickly since that terrible Tuesday morning when you were taken from us, but yet it still feels like yesterday. As the 7th anniversary of your death approaches, as always I pray for your soul and feel you around me as I feel MY DAD! I will continue to pray for you, dear brother, but as I have said to you last night PLEASE pray for your sister Angie and be her guide! Your death has impacted all of us, and Angela is still having a difficult time without you here. She so terribly misses you and hurts so much that YOU need to be there for her even in death. You know what to do! I am trying my best for the family, Dan. Frank knows I am there for him, and Angie works so hard for mom and dad. The children still speak of you and remember as well. Please give my "USUAL" message to MY DAD, and rest in peace, knowing that we have not and NEVER WILL FORGET!

Love,
Mark (his brother-in-law)

Dear Danny,

I want to say that you are always on my mind and in my prayers and that I will never forget the awesome times we had growing up as cousins. I miss you, and I love you always very much. One day we will reunite again. Until then, you will never leave my heart.

I love you, Danny,
Cousin Vito in California

I can’t believe it’s been five years - I still miss Danny so. He loved his family. When he came to visit me in Tennessee in Sept 2000, we joked about him smuggling some of his momma’s good cooking in his suitcase for me to try. He brought a video of his family to share with me. He rented a blue Mustang convertible which we drove at night with the top down and the heater on.

He had a strong work ethic, and how I wish he hadn’t gone back to work that Tuesday after his vacation. He called me Monday morning while he was on vacation but I was so tired from my trip to San Antonio, I didn’t answer the phone. I’ll always, always regret that.

But even if I had talked to him and encouraged him to take another day, I know he would have gone to work, anyway. He was always on me to get a job (I was in school). I had bought some spicy pistachios to send to Danny because I knew he loved pistachios.

I have pictures that I want to get to his family. He was a good friend and very generous. He is missed.

Dear Danny:

It has been 4 years since we last saw you or spoke to you.  Not a day goes by that we don't speak of you.  We live with our memories of you.
Rest in peace now dear brother until we meet again.

Love your sister,
Angela Frunzi

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!

9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner. We are maintaining this site with our own money and time. We try to keep the advertisements to a minimum and we try to make them as unobtrusive as possible. The revenue goes back to maintaining this site.

Thank you for your understanding in these matters.
