As part of our town-wide observance of the 10th anniversary of 9/11,stars were given out with the names of people who died on 9/11. We were asked to do a good deed in their honor. I was given your star. I made a donation to the Wounded Warrior Project in your memory. I will always remember your sacrifice.

Saw your name on a card attached to a flag at a healing field in Hanover, PA... It said that you saved the lives of those who would not leave you behind... Firefighters are extraordinary people... R. I. P.

I visited the 9/11 monument recently erected in Beavercreek Ohio with apiece of the World Trade Center and was reading the names of those who perished when I came across the name of Mr.Daniel Suhr which is my last name. What a strange feeling that came over me.Probably no relation, but we do share an uncommon last name,May God Bless Daniel and his family.

Danny,

You are one of the many heroes who rushed to help those who were either trapped or needed assistance on 9/11/01. You did not question why; you were just doing your job, which I have the utmost respect for. I will NEVER forget what happened to our brave brothers, and I'll continue to do research on the events of 9/11. May God protect your family, brothers, and friends. You are truly one of our HEROES!

Respectfully,
Nanette Lee

I worked with Daniel at Brennan and Carr's restaurant in Brooklyn. He was still in high school and playing on James Madison High School's football team. I remember one of his proudest moments was when he broke the school record for longest field goal. Besides being a great two-way player, Daniel was also the team's best kicker. Rest In Peace my friend.

The bravery you all showed that day will never be forgotten—not 10, 20, or 30 years from now. Brave young man, may you rest in peace.

We have a saying, which represents my football club in Liverpool. It means a lot to us:

"You'll Never Walk Alone"

I went to James Madison H.S. with Daniel's brother James. I knew Daniel pretty well and loved his pizza at N&D on avenue U, too! You are missed a great deal, brother, and we thank you for your ultimate sacrifice.

LOVE and RESPECT,

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!

9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner.
