I do not know you personally, but I have found out that you are an amazing, kind, and funny person. I wish I had the opportunity to meet such an inspiring person. Thank you for all that you have done. You are a hero to me and thousands of others.

I grew up with Dave. He was a great person. He always had a smile on his face. I will never forget him. He was a hero. He was one of the firemen who gave his life to save others. He will always be a hero to me.

I too will always remember Dave. We lived and grew up on 48th street. He was one of my brother's best friend. He always had a smile on his face. We played stick ball all the time. He was a great person to be around. May you rest in peace. You are my hero.

I will always remember Dave. We were friends at the awkward ages of 13-19. We hung out on 48th Street between 6th and 7th Avenues in Brooklyn. We met through a mutual friend named Sherry. She and her brother Kenny lived on that street, too. We used to climb up to Sherry's roof and sit there talking for hours. David teased me because I had a crush on two of his older brothers (won't tell which two). He was a very funny young man.... He could make me laugh no matter what kind of mood I was in. I would laugh so hard, I would cry. He would impersonate Benny Hill and Jerry Lewis and other comedians, and he was great at it.
We kind of just drifted apart as we grew a bit older, but we still ran into one another here and there. I would smile from ear to ear when I would hear his voice scream my name from across two city streets, he had great lungs. We would catch up on one another’s life and talk about "remember this?" and "remember that?" from our younger days. The last time I encountered Dave was at an October fest on 3rd Avenue in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. He was carrying his daughter on his shoulders. She must have been maybe five or six years old. I will forever remember Dave from that day: This beautiful blue-eyed, smiling man carrying his little girl on his shoulders. God bless you, David, you are loved deeply and missed greatly.

I miss you Dave and there is not a day that goes by where you are not in my thoughts. Give me guidance through this time and allow me to follow in your steps. Hope all is well where you are.

Post your memorial thoughts:
Share your feelings and memories of grief and
sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories. If you knew this
person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with
us something about his/her life:
- what kind of person he/she was,
- what nice points you remember about him/her,
- what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
- what you two perhaps did together,
- what he/she meant to you,
- or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging
for other people.
This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.
Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner. We are maintaining this site with our own money and time. We try to keep the advertisements to a minimum and we try to make them as unobtrusive as possible. The revenue goes back to maintaining this site.
Thank you for your understanding in these matters.
