Today at school we received names of 9/11 victims to wear all day long. This is the name I received. I'd like you to know that I am proud to wear David Prudencio LeMagne's name on my shirt today. I put my sticker above my mirror in hopes that it will remind me how lucky I am and also to help remind me to pray for him and his family. God bless.

We saw in the videos people running away from the 9/11 tragedy. David ran towards it, as he always did, and, helping people out of the tragedy, he himself became a victim. Today on Memorial Day, I remember him and grieve with his family at this great loss. Let us never forget his sacrifice.

MOMO,

You are so missed, not a day goes by that I don't think of you. Your smile, generosity and always being there will never be forgotten. Thank you for looking over me.

May you rest in peace!

Hey Babe,

Seven years ago tomorrow you exited this world, but you still have not managed to exit my heart.

Always and forever,

Bonjour,

Corinne Lemagne

[Ed. - Hello. I'm French. I know for several years that a person named Prudencio Lemagne is deceased in the attack on the twin towers in 2001. I traced my family tree back to around the year 1700. I am well-informed that there are a lot of people named LEMAGNE in the United States. According to several people, you have an ancestor of French origin who left during the war with Saint Dominque to Cuba. My friendship to the family of Prudencio. I wish them much courage for the future.]

Dave, you were a great medic student. I am told you were a great police officer and paramedic too. It was a pleasure knowing and helping teach you. I know you are missed. Say hi to Ciri for me.

I didn't know you personally David, but I know your sister.  Well actually my mom knows your sister.  She works with her.  Your family loves you very much and if all the stories that I heard about you are true then I know if i met you I would love you as well.  Your neice is beautiful but i know that you know that because she was with you before she was born.  I wrote you a poem and it won an award and I think that you had something to do with that.  I think that you inspired me as I was writting it.  You were my Muse.  Just remember you are my hero

David I'll always keep you close to my heart specially knowing that you are in heaven looking over us. You were a guardian here on earth and now up in heaven, Let me tell you there isn't anyone i would rather have as guardian, I know i could always trust you with my life since you once saved my from drowning. I owe you so much for being who you were with me. I wish I could meet more people like you, this world would be such a better place to live in. My parents believed in you and loved you so much they wanted me to be like you, and when I reallized why I volunteered to be as caring, thoughtful and funny as you were. I felt so attached to you that I would tell people you were my cousin. So to a cousin I wish I had and was still here with us, we will always love you, Rest in Peace.

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!

9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner. We are maintaining this site with our own money and time. We try to keep the advertisements to a minimum and we try to make them as unobtrusive as possible. The revenue goes back to maintaining this site.

Thank you for your understanding in these matters.
