Uncle Dave, I can remember the first time meeting you when you and Aunt Margie were dating. I was little then but thought you were so handsome with your blond hair and big blue eyes. You were truly the perfect couple and so lucky to have found each other. I always appreciated the pep talks you gave me whenever we got to see each other at family gatherings. You always made me feel special. I think of you often and remember your great smile, sense of humor, gentleness and most of all, the love and genuine concern you had for all of us. I know you are watching over all of us.
Love,
Theresa Ann

Today is October 4th, 2007. How can this be without my Dave? I really can't believe 6 long years have gone by. I guess the saying, "Life goes on," is true, but it is really hard. My daughters Dawn, Heather, and Heidi miss their dad sooo very much still. It still is like a bad dream. We have 3 grandchildren by Heather now. Samantha is 8, Morgan is 6 and Luke is 4 1/2 yrs. old. We always talk about you, Dave, and the kids know about your likes and dislikes. It's funny how one of them will say, "PaPa would like this," or "PaPa should be here to watch us doing whatever." I know for sure he would get a kick out of the kids, and they would keep him running and doing everything. I also know they would just love him as his daughters did when they were small. Dave never missed a sport they were in. It's so sad that life had to be this way. We all miss you Dave sooo very much. Going to family functions isn't really fun any more without you. Everyone will still say though, "Dave would love this," or "Dave loved dancing to certain songs." Your name is always mentioned; you are always remembered fondly with love. Thanks to everyone--family, friends, and even people I don't really know--for remembering my wonderful husband Dave.
Love and God Bless You All,
Margie

Uncle Dave, I miss you and I think of you several times a day. I miss calling you when I have a good joke to tell or you calling me when you have a tough trivia question with your co-workers, who are now gone as well. I kept your phone number at Cantor on the post-it on my desk for 2 years after you died, as though it never happened and even called it once just to see if someone would answer. You were the ultimate nice guy, you always showed excitement and enthusiasm for any little accomplishment of mine, you'd be happy to know I can drive now!

Today is 4-28-04 and I have to say my husband David is so missed. It was such a beautiful day & I know if Dave was still here he would be so thrilled about Spring and how beautiful it was getting off the ferry. He would definately want to see his grandchildren Samantha-will be 5 July 7th, Morgan-will be 3 Aug. 28th & Luke our new one just turned 1 on my birthday March 29th. How time has past so fast yet in a second I can be taken back to that day when David was taken so suddenly. It is really remarkable that time doesn't stand still as the saying goes. I just want to thank everyone for all the prayers & good wishes to my family and me. Hearing from old friends who keep in touch is really wonderful. May God Bless you all & may God keep us all safe.
Margie

Post your memorial thoughts:
Share your feelings and memories of grief and
sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories. If you knew this
person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with
us something about his/her life:
- what kind of person he/she was,
- what nice points you remember about him/her,
- what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
- what you two perhaps did together,
- what he/she meant to you,
- or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging
for other people.
This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.
Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner.
