You were so much fun to fly with. A great flight attendant, great person. I hope the strangers that read this know or can sense what a vibrant person you were. I am still flying.....its not the same....

Some 10 years after 9/11/11, the heroism of the heroes and heroines of Flight 93 should not and, if I have anything to say about it, will not forgotten. As a nation we have not properly honored their heroism.

Lost but never forgotten.

Hi, Debbie. I have heard about you on the news. When the anniversary cames up of 9/11, they talk about your flight, flight 93, the flight that fought back on that day. Debbie, you mean so much to us, being a hero of a very bleak day. I mean 9/11/01 was a day that no one had imagined, that no one in this whole world had an image of two big and great towers falling down, no one had an image of a plane hitting an icon like the Pentagon, no one had an image of a plane hitting the ground on a nice country site. I mean, can you imagine that ever happening again? Anyway, Debbie, my cousin Waleska Martinez died on flight 93. She was traveling with her coworker Marion Britton. Debbie, you mean so much to me, but I am not sure if you fought back because there have been many saying that you were one of the persons who were killed on the flight, but that has never been proven. Besides, the black has proven it. But no, anyways, Debbie, you mean so much to me.

Love always,

Up in the early morning of 9/12, thinking of Debbie and wishing she were with us. I was a United F/A who LOVED flying and talking with her. She was a remarkable woman, and every moment with her was memorable. Debbie, her family, and friends are in my thoughts and prayers tonight.

Rest in peace Debbie. Your beautiful smile will never be forgotten.

I was so sad to hear of the death of Deborah Welsh. What a beautiful smile, and from what I have read, what an equally beautiful and vivacious woman. I know that she provided warmth and comfort to so many people on so many different flights.  I hope that her family will find comfort in knowing what a unique and remarkable woman she was.

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!

9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner.
