I believe most people on here have Denease Conley confused with someone else. The women from the Sept 3rd 2001 video is not Denease Conley. I have however found actual footage of Denease Conley from a video entitled "9/11..... And The Elevator Music In The WTC Plaza Played On". Pause the video at 8:14 and there she is, the real Denease Conley. I just wanted to point this out, R.I.P Denease Conley.

Denease,

I saw you on a Youtube video, and reading that you passed away saving the lives of others on September 11 broke my heart. May you rest in peace, Denease.  <3

Like many here, I was drawn to see if I could learn more about you, after watching a Youtube video only a week before the attacks. While watching, it hadn't occurred to me that you had died during the tragic events of that day. This truly put a human face on the attacks, and it really makes you think about the people who were lost. You seemed like a kind and caring person. May you rest in peace.

I saw your video. You're a brave woman for staying inside and helping people towards the exits. Rest in peace.

Rest in peace. I feel for you. I just saw a video of you from September 3rd, 2001. You're outside the Trade Center. I live in England, and watching you, and then realising that you never made it, made me sad. R.I.P. x

I just watched a Youtube clip with you in it only a few weeks before 9/11. You sounded like a great person and very friendly. It's very sad to hear that you passed away. :'(

Denny,

It's hard to believe that you were taken so suddenly from all those who loved and cared for you. The heart knows no time,
and words cannot convey the void that your absence has left. I miss you!

R.I.P. I know you's in a better place now. <3

Thinking of you all today. Every time I look at the American flag flying in front of my home, I think and pray for all of you who died on 9/11. Rest in peace.

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!

9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner.
